Belated Post for Clean and Simple with Jenny

A belated post from me as I have just got back home from spending the winter months out in Spain.
This is my Design Team Card for the challenge over at CD Sunday
which started last Sunday 5th April

My design is created using a 6 x 6 Scalloped White Card Blank

The CD element is from a Jems Design CD - Wish Upon a Rose
Printed onto Glossy Photo Card for effect.
My Happy Birthday Sentiment is from my stash along with a Purple Satin Ribbon.
3 Purple Gems complete the design.

I hope you will join us for this easy challenge, just remember to use something from a CD in your design and tell us which CD you have used.

Pop back on Sunday 12th April as we have another challenge for you which will run for a whole month.

A Sentiment with Carol

Good morning to you all and welcome to our latest challenge over at

Did you see the Eclipse? I am still out here in Spain for 2 more weeks and it was cloudy so we didn't see anything.

Thank you for your entries for Sue-B's challenge, not so many of you but I know Sue will have a difficult decision choosing her Top 3.

Carol has chosen your theme for the next two weeks, which is
SENTIMENT

Any Sentiment you like but please use something from a CD in your design.

This is my creation below

Again I have used a 6 x 6 White Scalloped Card Blank for the base.

The backing paper and central images are from my latest CD
 POLKADOODLES - Eden Collection.
The lovely lady sitting on the swing is a coloured image but there are also Black & White images on the CD for you to colour yourself.

I took this into Craft Artist as I have just bought a couple of Quilling Digi Kits and also one of their Digi Boss Kits.
It has been designed all in Craft Artist before printing onto Glossy Photo Paper and adding to the base card.

My Sentiment is 'Happy Birthday' and a few gems are added for dimension.

The Ribbon down the side is from my stash out here.

I hope you will join in with us, just remember to use something from a CD in your design and tell us which CD you have used.

Take a moment to visit my Team Mate's Blogs, there creations as usual are stunning.

See you in two weeks when I will be back home

I would like to enter this into the current challenge from POLKADOODLES
which is
BIRTHDAYS

CD SUNDAY - 'F' is for...

Good morning to you all and welcome to another challenge from the team over at
I am typing my post whilst sitting having a second cup of tea in the awning as we are now in
Sunny Spain.
Thank you for all your beautiful entries for 'Simply Square' - Jenny chose a super theme which was a hit with you all.
This week it is the turn of CAZ and she has gone for
'F' is for ....

This is gives you a lot of choice as you will see from my fellow team members designs.

I decided to choose
FORGET ME NOT
as I don't want my family and friends to forget me while I am away.

My DT Card is shown below

RECIPE

6 x 6 Scalloped White Card for the base
Backing paper and main image are from
Floral Fantasy CD 2 - Joanna Sheen
I used a piece of Aqua card which I embossed using a Crafts Too Embossing folder to put across the middle of the design.
My topper has been printed onto Glossy Photo Paper.
I haven't added a sentiment as it is one that will go into my box of cards to use later.
A couple of Prima Flowers complete the design.

I hope you will join us as we love to see your creations and visit your blogs. Just remember to use something from a CD in your design and tell us which it is you have used.

Take a moment to visit my 'teamies' blogs to read what they have created for you this week.

CD SUNDAY - HATS

Good morning to you all. Looks like Summer has arrived.
I have scheduled today's post as by the time you read all about our latest challenge over at
Hubby and I will be travelling with our local MX5 Group down to the Cotswolds.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer day so it's 'TOP's down all the way.

As it is the start of a new month we not only have a new Guest Designer but also a super Sponsor.
We welcome back the lovely TESS as July's Guest Designer and if you have joined us from the beginning of our challenge's you will remember that Tess was one of our original Design Team members.

I have been lucky to persuade the lovely SUSAN ANDREWS, who is
JEM's DESIGNS to Sponsor us this week and she kindly sent all the DT and GDT a CD to use.
Thank you Susan and I hope you will like what we have designed.
One lucky person will be chosen by Random Org to receive a copy of the CD.

I am sure you will have seen Susan recently on Create & Craft showing her latest CD's and this particular CD has been designed by the lovely SHEENAGH HULIN

Now onto our challenge which we decided to call
HATS (the CD is actually called Hat Box Confections)
I lot of scope we hope for you this week.

My DT Card is shown below

RECIPE
An A5 cream card for the base to which I added one of the super backing papers from the CD.
The design I chose is called CHOCOLATE ORANGE
I chose a Pyramid Image for the main design which was printed onto Matte Photo Paper.
This in turn has been mounted onto an Anja Die and two beautiful Marianne Flowers complete the design.
I am a little disapointed in how the main image shows up and wish I had printed it onto Glossy Photo Paper to give more colour depth.

This CD is beautiful and I couldn't just let you see this image alone so I have made another to showcase what is on the CD
This additional card design is called
SPEARMINT ICE
and you can see it below

Another A5 card to which I added this gorgeous backing paper, printed directly onto Glossy Photo Paper
My topper is from a selection on the CD, so many to choose from.
I mounted it onto a Spellbinders - 'Marvelous Square' cut out in White for contrast.
To complete the design I just had to use my latest purchase of Heartfelt Creations - Delicate Asters Dies, they are gorgeous and I have my fellow team member Jenny to thank for telling me about them.

I hope you are still with me and hope you will join in with us again.
Remember to use something from a CD in your design and say which it is you have used.
Before you go, do pop over to see the stunning designs my team mates have for you .

Last week we said goodbye to Gloria as our Guest Designer, thank you Gloria, but watch out as I am sure she will be back later in the year

Wynn is lucky to live in Cyprus where the weather is better than here in the UK

As it is the start of a new month we have a Sponsor, Wendi & Emma mother and daughter who are-
They kindly sent the design team images from their latest CD - Faithful Friends to work with.
They are offering one lucky person the choice of a CD from their Online Shop.

Onto the challenge and my DT Card is shown below

RECIPE
My favourite 6 x6 Scalloped Card for the base.
I chose 3 different papers to mat and layer up my design.
The main image of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is printed onto Glossy Photo Paper and some Card Candi completes the design.
There are a lot of super images on the CD and it was difficult to choose my favourite.

Do pop over to our blog to see more Faithful Friend's images, lovely designs from the team as usual.

CD SUNDAY - ORNATE BLOSSOM

Good morning to my followers and welcome to another challenge from us at
I hope you are having some sunshine back home as it is beautiful here in Spain.

Thank you for all your entries in last weeks theme of Weddings, you did us proud and we loved seeing your creations. Sue T will have a difficult task choosing her TOP 3.

GLORIA continues as your Guest Designer and she has designed a beautiful card so do pop over to her blog to read all about it.

It is my turn to choose this weeks theme and as it is the month of May I decided to give you
ORNATE BLOSSOM.

My DT Card is below

My recipe this weeks is:
6 x 6 Scalloped Card Blank
2 backing papers and my image is from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD
The main paper is from the Satin collection and the two die cuts are from the Leaves collection.
I used my latest purchase from Joanna which is the beautiful ANJA DIE - LR0272
The main image is printed onto Glossy Photo Paper
When I ordered my Die, I also ordered a pack of Prima flowers in pastel shades which I added as a finishing touch.
I must remember to bring our more embellishments next time.

I hope you will join in with us again as we love to see your creations and leave comments on your blogs (for me this is the best part of being a DT)

Remember to use something from a CD and say which it is you have used.

CD SUNDAY - WEDDINGS

Good morning to you all , I hope you are enjoying the Bank Holiday.
I am still out in Spain and the weather here is super so I hope it is the same back home.

Another week has flown by which means time for our latest challenge over at
Thank you for your stunning entries for Purple Paradise, a popular choice and I know Wendy will find it difficult to choose her TOP 3.

As it is the start of a new month we have a new Guest Designer joining us and we were thrilled when GLORIA accepted our invitation.
I have met her just the once at Port Sunlight and she is a lovely lady.

Our newest team member - Sue T has chosen your theme this week and it is fitting as Gloria 'tied the knot' herself on April 25th. Congratulations to you both

Here is my DT Card

I chose yet another 6 x 6 Scalloped Card Blank for the base of my design.
Using my beautiful ANJA DIES - LR0242  I cut out a couple of mats to showcase the main element of my card.
The papers and the lovely image of the Wedding Couple are from
Debbi Moore's Wedding Stationery CD.
They are all printed onto Glossy Photo Paper and I carefully cut out the embellishments from the same section of the CD to add to my design.

I hope you will join in with us this week as we love to see your designs and leave you comments.
For me, this is the best part of being a DT member.

Remember to use something from a CD in your design and say which it is you have used.

Do take a look at my fellow 'teamies' creations, they are stunning as always.

CD SUNDAY - PURPLE PARADISE

Good morning to you all, I wish I could say it was lovely and sunny here in Spain but as the saying goes
'The Rain In Spain is falling mostly in Benidorm'

Another Sunday so another challenge from us at
Sadly this is MARGARET's last week with us as a Guest Designer and she has blown us away with her beautiful designs and this week is no exception.
We hope to have her back later in the year. Thank you Margaret for your creations.
Do take a look at her blog, you won't be disapointed.

It is the turn of our lovely Wendy to choose  your challenge for the week, no surprises in guessing the theme.
PURPLE PARADISE

Wendy and I think alike as we both have a love of this particular colour so it was easy for me to prepare my card for you and you can see it below

RECIPE

6x6 Scalloped Card for the base
Lovely backing paper from PAM LEFORS - if you haven't visited Pam you should as she designs lovely kits and quite frequently does special offers.
My main design is from JEMS DESIGNS
If  you have seen any of the shows on Create & Craft you will know how beautiful their CD's  are.
This design is from 'Yesterday's Dreams' CD - one of the many delights on this CD.
I took it into CAP2 and played around with various sections until I was happy with my design.
It is printed onto Glossy Photo Paper
There are 5 different layers on the card, however I am sending this through the post and to keep down the postal charges I made it flat.

I hope you will have fun and join us again this week, we love to visit your blog's and leave comments.
Just remember to use a CD and say which is it you have used.

Take a look at the challenge blog as my fellow teamie's have come up trumps again.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE - MAJESTY

Good morning everyone and welcome to another challenge from us all at

Today is a special day for our own lovely CAROL
Today Carol is celebrating her 70th Birthday and I know you will join us in wishing her
A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY

CAZ has chosen the theme for your challenge this week, which is
MAJESTY

MARGARET continues as our Guest Designer for April and when you pop over to her blog you will see a beautifully designed card, so fitting for the challenge.

On to my DT Card which you can see below

RECIPE

My favourite 6 x6 Scalloped Card Blank
I added a beautiful paper from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew CD
This is also the matching BP for the main image
I think that Lions are truly majestic as well as being the king of the jungle.
It is printed onto Glossy Photo Paper.
I have been checking what I have in the way of supplies here in Spain and came across these two lovely embossed pieces of card at the bottom of my craft tote.
Both pieces are from the Co-ordinations range and the die cut is a Spellbinders Die - Lacey Squares.
This was already embossed and sanded to show the hidden core colour.

I hope you will join us again this week, thanks for your lovely entries last week. I certainly enjoyed visiting you and leaving comments. This is the best part of being a DT as we pick up ideas and also learn about new CD's, we can never have too many

Just remember to use a CD somewhere in your design and let us know which it is you have used.

Do pop over and visit my fellow teamie's blogs,  you won't be disapointed.

CD SUNDAY - SUGAR and SPICE

Good morning to you and a Happy Easter. I hope the Easter Bunny left a few eggs for you all.
It is now officially British Summer Time and hope you remembered to put your clocks forward by 1 hour.
I am still enjoying life here in Spain although hubby went back home yesterday and I know he will notice a difference in temperature.

Our challenge for you at CD SUNDAY has been chosen by Jocelyn and she came up with
SUGAR and SPICE

If you have already visited our Blog you will see we have a few changes taking place.
This is the last week for our own lovely Jenny to do your post. Jenny has been a major part of keeping the blog going, however after 3 years she has decided to take a temporary break and has handed over the reigns to fellow team mate Carol. Jenny was with me when the blog first started and I will miss her input but I know she will join in 'from the other side of the fence'
Thank you Jenny for all your hard work and welcome Carol to your new position.
I know you will continue where Jenny has left off.

Sadly this is MARINA's last week as our Guest Designer, we have loved having her and I am sure she will be back later in the year. Thank you Marina you have done us proud with your designs.

On to this weeks challenge and my DT card is shown below

I decided to make an A5 card for a change and chose this beautiful image from
Paintbox Poppets CD by Crafters Companion.
This summed up my interpretation of Sugar & Spice, as the saying goes:
Sugar & Spice & all things nice, that is what little girls are made of.

It has been printed onto Glossy Photo Paper before matting onto a patchwork backing paper from Bearly Mine Designs CD.
I am a Card Candi fan so couldn't resist adding a few to the image.
The lace border is from Joanna Sheen and is self adhesive.
The whole of the design is attached to a Duck Egg Blue Card which I found in my stash here.

I hope you will join in with us again this week, we love to see your blogs and leave you comments.
Do take time from your busy Easter weekend to visit my fellow team mates blogs, lovely designs from them all once again.

For my DT card I chose backing papers and this lovely image from
Debbi Moore's Venetian Masquarade CD/
I printed the backing paper onto a Deckle Edged Pearlised Card.
The lovely lady has been printed onto Glossy Photo Paper and I added a touch of glitter to her dress for some sparkle.
My sentiment and ribbon border are from the same topper sheet.
I added some beautiful blue Ric Rac Ribbon, placed at an angle and finished it off with tiny Gems.
Thanks for looking, don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's blogs as they have fabulous creations to share with you.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Good morning and welcome to our latest challenge at CD SUNDAY

This week we are asking you to think - NEW YEAR, NEW TO YOU

For my DT Card this week I chose a beautiful image from Enchanted Dreams CD from Joanna Sheen
I have heard so many positive comments on this particular CD and I have to say I agree with everything I have heard. This really is the best CD yet from Joanna. So pleased it 'fell' into my basket earlier this week.
I printed the backing paper onto Cream Pearlised Card and the gorgeous topper on Glossy Photo Paper. Of course, I had to choose an image depicting butterflies, so as soon as I saw this I knew this was for me.
I attached a ribbon border edge from what little stash I have and decided to go with the butterfly theme and added a sparkly embellishment to complement.
I received good news today concerning my Craft Stuff, some of you may know that we had planned to spend the winter in Spain, however we had an accident travelling through France on day 1, the end result being our Caravan is no more. Of course all my things were inside and today we heard that the caravan is coming back to Southend on Tuesday. All we have to do is hire a van to collect everything, so this time next week I should have it all home. Yipee.
Thankyou for your entries this week, we really enjoyed seeing your creations and leaving you comments. So pleased to see a couple of new faces joining in with us.
One of you will be the lucky winner of a £10 Voucher to spend at Bearly Mine, so do check our blog to see if it is you.
The DT's have excelled this week, everyone of us has used something 'NEW', so without delay check us out.

CD SUNDAY - 1st SPONSORED CHALLENGE

Good morning to all my blogging friends.

WELL - IT IS HERE - CD SUNDAY 1st SPONSERED CHALLENGE

The team are thrilled to have the lovely SHARON DUNCAN as our very first sponsor.

We are sure you all know Sharon having seeing her demonstrate her lovely CD's on Create & Craft. She has been designing CD's since 2002 and before that she had many successful years running her own Ebay Shop.

Sharon decided to set up her own Website in July 2006 along with her own Craft Forum and more recently a Craft Club. She is joined by her daughter Laura who now designs CD's in her own right.
Sharons has set us - the Design Team a super challenge which is:

ANIMALS

Below is the CD Sharon is giving away to one lucky person who participates in this weeks challenge

So what do you have to do:
Design a Card, ATC, Fat Book Page, whatever takes your fancy using Animals as your main theme. It doesn't have to be from Sharron's CD, any CD is acceptable as long as it features Animals. Please let us know the CD you use as it may be one we haven't got.

So dust off you CD's and join us for this week's Special Challenge. We will use a Random Generator Number to pick the winner.

This is my DT Card for this week
RECIPE
5 x 4.75 Card Blank
Backing Paper from Joanna Sheen's CD - Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection - Disc 2
Beautiful Topper from the same CD
Gold Peel Off to edge the triangles and to show the letters - ANIMALS

Unfortunately my backing paper is not showing up very well, but it is a lovely cream shade covered with grass.

Our DT's have designed beautiful cards as always, so pop over to the blog to look.

We hope that more of you will join in this week and we look forward to seeing and commenting on your blogs.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE - MEOW!!

My, how the weeks are flying by. Today is Sunday which means a new challenge from CD SUNDAY
Our challenge this week is:

MEOW!

Our Design Team have lovely cards to show you and we hope you will join in with us. The only rule we have is that your card must have something from a CD, maybe a small piece of paper or an image. We ask that you say which CD you have used as it maybe a new one to us.

RECIPE FOR MY CARD:

The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection CD from Joanna Sheen
Ink Dusters from Inkylicious
Adirondack Inks from Clarity Stamps
5 x 5 Card Pearlised Card Blank from my stock.
Glossy Photo Paper
Brad
Peel Offs

I started with three colours of Inks, Oregano, Butterscoth & Caramel and using my Ink Dusters applied the colours onto my base card.
I printed a topper from The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection - CD2 onto Glossy Photo Paper and layered it on top of a matching backing paper.
From the tags & sentiment section I printed a tag and two sentiments. These were coloured using the same inks.
My tag has been attached with a Brad and to the blank sentiment at the bottom of my card I added Gold Peel-offs

I am pleased with the way the Inks worked both on the base card and on the sentiments and tag.

We hope you will join in with us this week and look forward to seeing and commenting on your designs.
