CD SUNDAY - To the Moon and Back

Good morning to you and welcome to another challenge from the team over at

CD SUNDAY

It is the start of a new month which means we have a new Guest Designer this month and also a Sponsor for this weeks challenge.

Firstly our Guest Designer who is not a stranger to you all as she has been our GDT before.

Lynda chose the theme for this week and she kindly sent all the DT and GDT some files to work with from one of her CD's

My Design Team card is shown below

RECIPE

I created a card using one the the lovely backing papers from the files.

For my main design I chose to use one of the matching toppers of this little fairy girl sitting on the Moon. She looks a little apprehensive but the Stars are shining down on her so I am sure she is safe.

I added silver gems around the circle, punched out a few daisy flowers to match the main card, Card Candi for the centre of the flowers and also as an embellishment for the corner.

A couple of sentiments from the files complete my card.

Christmas in July from CD SUNDAY

Good morning to you all, hope you are loving Summer.

 I can't believe this beautiful weather which looks like being here for a while longer. 

For me, it is almost as good as being in Spain.

Our challenge for you this week is Wendy's choice and as she send's lot of cards to our troops for Christmas, she chose

CHRISTMAS IN JULY.

TESS continues through July as our Guest Designer and for those of you who have been with us from the start will remember that she was one of our original Design Team.

It seems strange to be thinking of Christmas when the weather is so beautiful but I hope you will take up the challenge and join in with us.

RECIPE

White 6 x 6 Scalloped Card, I love these as you will have gathered.

I printed a backing paper from a CD by DREAMEES which I think is no longer available

The main Snowman image is from Joanna Sheen's  - Giordano Christmas Creations CD

I used a Spellbinder Die -( borrowed from friend and can't remember the name!) as a matt for the image to be layered onto.

A few white acrylic Snowflake embellishments complete my design along with Silver Gems for the snowflake centre's

CD SUNDAY - HATS

Good morning to you all. Looks like Summer has arrived.

I have scheduled today's post as by the time you read all about our latest challenge over at

CD SUNDAY

Hubby and I will be travelling with our local MX5 Group down to the Cotswolds.

We couldn't have asked for a nicer day so it's 'TOP's down all the way.

As it is the start of a new month we not only have a new Guest Designer but also a super Sponsor.

We welcome back the lovely TESS as July's Guest Designer and if you have joined us from the beginning of our challenge's you will remember that Tess was one of our original Design Team members.

I have been lucky to persuade the lovely SUSAN ANDREWS, who is 

JEM's DESIGNS to Sponsor us this week and she kindly sent all the DT and GDT a CD to use.

Thank you Susan and I hope you will like what we have designed.

One lucky person will be chosen by Random Org to receive a copy of the CD.

I am sure you will have seen Susan recently on Create & Craft showing her latest CD's and this particular CD has been designed by the lovely SHEENAGH HULIN

Now onto our challenge which we decided to call

HATS (the CD is actually called Hat Box Confections)

I lot of scope we hope for you this week.

My DT Card is shown below

RECIPE

An A5 cream card for the base to which I added one of the super backing papers from the CD.

The design I chose is called CHOCOLATE ORANGE

I chose a Pyramid Image for the main design which was printed onto Matte Photo Paper.

This in turn has been mounted onto an Anja Die and two beautiful Marianne Flowers complete the design.

I am a little disapointed in how the main image shows up and wish I had printed it onto Glossy Photo Paper to give more colour depth.

This CD is beautiful and I couldn't just let you see this image alone so I have made another to showcase what is on the CD

Another A5 card to which I added this gorgeous backing paper, printed directly onto Glossy Photo Paper

My topper is from a selection on the CD, so many to choose from.

I mounted it onto a Spellbinders - 'Marvelous Square' cut out in White for contrast.

To complete the design I just had to use my latest purchase of Heartfelt Creations - Delicate Asters Dies, they are gorgeous and I have my fellow team member Jenny to thank for telling me about them.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE - BUTTERFLIES

Good morning to you all and welcome to our latest challenge over at

CD SUNDAY

As it is the first Sunday of a new month we have the lovely CAROLINE as our Sponsor and a new Guest Designer - MARINA

Caroline has Sponsored us in the past and by your entries we know that you love her work.She gave the DT different designs from her latest Kit - Rainbow Butterflies.

 The prize for one lucky entrant, drawn by Random Org, is a choice of Digistamps or Digikits to the value of £10. The winner will be able to choose.

Marina regularly joins our challenges and we decided to ask her to be our Guest DT for this month.

My DT Card is shown below

Caroline sent me SET 8 from her Rainbow Butterflies Collection and I used

Craft Artist 2 CD to create my design.

I printed off one of the backing papers and attached it to an 6 x 6 Scalloped Card.

Using a couple more of the papers I matted and layerd using Cap2

Four flowers have been added using the Decoupage Layer Tool and the central Butterfly is done in the same way.

I resized several more butterflies and placed them on the design in a random section.

Finally, Silver Gems were added to the centre of the flowers for a little sparkle.

Caroline's Kits are a delight to work with so I know you will enjoy choosing a prize should you be the lucky winner.
