CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Good morning to you all, another week has flown by and once again it is time for our latest challenge over at

Thanks for all your entries last week, you certainly enjoyed using your 'Buttons'.

Our theme this week is
ONLY OVALS
It is the second week for our lovely Guest Designer, DEBS, and she has produced a beautiful card to share with you. Do pop over to her blog and leave her some love.

My DT Card is shown below:
This week I have used a lovely CD from - PEERLESS DESIGNS
It is called - Peerless Designs Vol 3 - Floral Elegance
My base card is one of the many fabulous papers on the CD and I chose to use muted tones of Pink & Green.
The largest Oval was cut using a Grand Oval Nestabilitie Die using a matching paper.
My pale green Ovals are 'Beaded Ovals' in two different sizes, as are the Pink centre Ovals.
A few punched flowers have been attached with brads for the centre Ovals.
The flourish is from 'Floral Flourishes' courtesy of Spellbinders and a recent purchase along with a few others.
I attached 3 Pearls to part of the flourish to give dimension.

We hope that you will join us again for our latest challenge, remember, you must use something from a CD in your design and say which CD you have used. We are still getting entries which do not comply so unfortunately they are not eligible to be entered into the draw.

Do pop over to see what the rest of my teamies and our Guest DT have come up with this week, all beautiful and different as usual.

Finally, remember to check CD Sunday Blog on Tuesday as we will be announcing our Top 3, and the winner will receive a small prize.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Good morning to you all and welcome to our latest challenge over at
The challenge we have for you this week is
BLING IT UP
We are joined again by CHRIS who has been our Guest Designer for July, sadly this is her last week but we hope to have her back with us at a later date. Do pop over to her blog and leave comments. Thankyou Chris, we have enjoyed your input.
My DT card is shown below

I decided to use one of Debbi Moore's CD's - Glitter & Glitz Magic Moments.
My image has been printed onto Parchment and I used one of my Grids to make a border around the image.
Backing papers are from the same CD and I decided to use a couple of Martha Stewart punches to edge the image. The left hand side is a ribbon punch to which black ribbon has been threaded and gems in black & silver add a little bling.
The right hand side is a vine punch, a favourite of mine, again a couple of silver gems complete the flower centres.
I attached the vellum using white brads and completed the card with a few more black gems.

We hope you will continue to join us, our only rule is to use something from a CD and say which it is you have used.
Pop over to our blog to see what the rest of my teamies have designed, stunning as usual.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Good morning everyone, welcome to our latest challenge over at

We are done and dusted with Christmas for a while, thanks for joining us last week.

Our challenge this week definately has a 'girly' feel to it as it is
HANDBAGS
we can never have too many.
We are joined again by Chris as this months Guest Designer and she has delighted us with a fab design.

You can see my DT Card below

I have my Sister to thank for giving me this lovely die cut handbag.
I placed in an embossing folder - TRELLIS and put it through the Grand Calibur.
My elements are from the latest CD by Debs and is called Paper Flower Boutique.
I printed one of the many beautiful designs onto Parchment then carefully pricked around the circle and flowers with a 2 needle tool.
The leaves I decided to cut using small scissors.
Brads have been added to the centre of the flower and at the top and sides.
I used Apple Green Promarker to highlight the design which was already on the handbag.

I hope you will join us again this week, remember, all we ask is for you to something from a CD in your design and say which it is you have used.

Do pop over to our blog as one lucky entry from last week's challenge will have won a prize of Digi Stamps chosen by random generator.
The rest of my teamies have fabulous projects this week, so leave them comments as I know it is appreciated.

Thanks for your entries in last weeks, nice to see new bloggers taking part.
For our challenge this week, we, the DT's chose
IF THE SHOE FITS.
We have Jocelyn as our Guest Designer for this month, do take a look at her blog, she does beautiful things and this week so has done us proud.

For my DT card I chose to use the lovely CD from Ooh-la-la-Creations which is all about Shoes in Bloom.

I printed one of the backing papers onto 'snake' like card which I had in my stash.

My beautiful topper has been printed on Vellum and then I added a little bit of parchment work using one of my Parchment Grids of butterflies. (What a surprise for me!!)

This has been attached by Brads to some lilac pearlescent card, my sentiment was computer generated onto the same card and cut round with deckle scissors.

My finishing touch was of course a lilac butterfly.

We hope you will join in with us again, remember our rule, please use something from a CD and say which it is you have used.

A SONG IN MY HEART

As usual our DT & GDT have beautiful designs to show you.

It is the second week for our Guest Designer Claire and she has another lovely creation to share with you

My DT card is shown below

I chose to go with a beautiful song from the Patience Strong CD1 from Joanna Sheen

It has been printed onto Pearlescent Card and then layered onto Purple Card from my stash.

The main card is also Pearlescent and I used my 'Hougie Board' to score a few lines both down and across for dimension.

Punched flowers complete with Brads and a few Gems add the finishing touch

I am not sure if you can read the song, so hear it is below:

If the heart is Singing, you cannot go far wrong, For you will discover, there's magic in a song, That scares away the demons, that throng around us all, Wanting us to stumble, and to see us fall, If the heart is singing, nothing can get through, Only that which strengthens, and what is best for you.

We hope you will join us again this week, just remember to use something from a CD in your design and say which it is you have used.

Next week we have something special happening on our blog, so watch this space, as they say!!

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 134 - Its' All New To Me

Good morning and a Happy New Year to you all.
Today sees the start of Rainbow Lady's new challenge blog and I am lucky to be one of her Design Team Gems.
One lucky person will be in with a chance of winning a £10 Voucher from the lovely Joanna Sheen.
For my very 1st card I used a new Stamp Plate from Crafty Individuals, unfortunatley I threw the packaging away so not sure of it's title.
I used Distress Inks and Ink Dusters for my background before stamping using Archival Black.
This has been layered onto a matching Alcohol Inked background and attached with two Metallic Purple Brads.
The whole card is attached to a Silver Base Card with a few Gems for sparkle.
Do join in with us to celebrate Cynthia's latest venture and see my other 'Teamie's' work. We look forward to visiting you and leaving comments.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Another week has passed so once again it is time for our latest challenge over at

CD SUNDAY

The theme this week is

SHABBY CHIC

and my DT Card is below

I used my latest CD from Debs which is called
BRYONY BEE AND FRIENDS

This particular CD is not available to purchase from Deb as it is one of her NEC Show Specials which she included when you spent a certain amount of money on her stand.
I feel priveleged to own this CD as it is beautiful.

I printed on both sides of pearlescent card with backing papers from the Claudia section.
The gorgeous image is of Claudia and I think she is both Shabby & Chic.

I tried a different fold for this card to show both of the papers and then attached beautiful brads to secure the the page folds.
I used a Nestabilitie die to show off Claudia's lovely image.

Our design team have made some beautiful samples this week so do pop over to the blog to have a look.

As usual, we ask that you use something from a CD and say which you have used.
Do join in as we love to see your creations and maybe pick up on a new CD we don't have in our collection.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Good morning to all my blogging friends, Sunday is here again which means it is time for the latest challenge over on CD SUNDAY
Our chosen theme this week is:
STAMP ON YOUR CD
Remember, all we require of you, is to use something from a CD, be it a little scrap of paper or image and post which CD you have used.
RECIPE:
Backing Paper for card and tag are from - Essence of Nature CD
I overstamped with 'Agapanthus Cluster & Agapanthus Long' stamps from The Stampman using Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink.
For my flowers I used 'Butterfly Daisy Collage' stamps from Graphicus
These have been coloured using various shades of Copics before adding Glossy Accents.
Brads from my stash are attached to the centre of the flowers.
My finishing touch is a beautiful butterfly made using a Nestabilitie Die which has been embossed using my Cuttlebug. For extra dimension it has been distressed, using Adirondack Inks and Glossy Accents give it a little highlight.
We hope you will join in with us again this week and please pop over to see the gorgeous cards our DT's have made.

DIGI STAMPS & PROMARKERS

I have been experimenting this week with Digi Images & Promarkers and wanted to show you my first card.
My Digi Stamp is from POLLYCRAFT called CODI - STYLIN

She has been coloured with Promarkers in various shades then the edges of her design have been distressed with Adirondack Inks in shades of Lettuce & Butterscotch.
She has been layered onto backing paper from Basic Grey - Porcelain collection.
To complement her I added several flowers in shades to match before adding a Fleur-De-Lis die from Spellbinders. I gold brad attached this to the card.

I have ordered quite a few Digi Images this week so you may see more designs shortly.

I would love you to leave me comments, good or bad.

It wasn't until I had finished colouring my image that I found VIX who had some tutorials for colouring hair and faces. Her blog is well worth a look and she is a DT for JILL who in turn has a fabulous blog.

My image has been printed onto Vellum and attached with brads to the card.
I chose a Hydrangea flower from my stash to the top corner and a sentiment from the CD on the bottom corner.

Please pop over to CD SUNDAY to see the cards from the other DT Members.

Hubby's Birthday Card

It is my Hubby's Birthday today so I thought I would share with my blogging friends the card I made him.
He is awkward to make cards for as his love is trains and I don't have anything with trains, however he is a keen birdwatcher and like me, loves Owls.

The base of his card consists of Heat Resistant Acetate to which I added Alcohol Inks in shades, Caramel & Meadow. I overstamped with one of my Swirl stamps using Archival Coffee, then rubbed the ink off to reveal a clear image. This is a technique I was shown at Sheena's class In Kettering recently.
The Owl image is from a Joanna Sheen CD - The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection which I printed onto Gloss Photo Paper.
Using my leaves stamps from Creative Impressions, I stamped, then coloured using Promarkers. These were carefully cut out and added to the image using 3D Foam.
Brads were used to attach the acetate to the card.

His comment, I wish I could see that particular owl. At least he commented which is more than he usually does when I make anything.

Craftyanns Challenge No 3 TEXTURE

Here is my card for Craftyanns
Ann's challenge this week was 'Texture'
I took a blank silver pearlescent card from my stash to which I added a square of textured paper. The paper was made using 'Starburst Stain's available from The Stampman. Unfortunately I have forgotten which set of stains this is from as I have done lots recently. I used the 'Scrunch' technique and after it had dried I applied ink from my Versamark Pad before covering with Gold Embossing Powder/
Three flowers have been added from my stash which I think complement the colours, a butterfly brad attached to the centre of the flowers gives a finishing touch, as do the brads on each corner.
I hope that Ann likes what I have done and that it will fulfill her challenge this week.

Ann's Digi Stamp Forum Challenge

We have had a little fun over at Rainbows Forum and Ann not only supplied this Digi Image but gave us a challenge to create a card, atc, tag etc using this image. Not only did she supply the image but the lovely backing papers to complement her design.

This is my card using all the elements, my image has been coloured using Lyra's & Derwent Inktense. I cut the image out before attaching to my card with 3D Foam. Brads were added to attach the apple border and also the wording which I had done on my computer.

TIO Challenge No 6

This is my entry for Frankie's TIO Challenge No 6 which is Dragonflies & Butterflies. I feel that Frankie chose this theme especially for me as I so love making anything which combines these elements, so thank you Frankie. I started by spraying my background with various colours of Cosmic Shimmer Mists before stamping using a new set from Inkadinkadoo called Morphic Bugs. The dragonfly stamps are from my set of Kay Carley - Aspect of Designs 51 - Japanese Minis which are available from The Stampman. For a finishing touch I added Butterfly & Dragonfly Brads from my stash and a lilac ric rac ribbon.

Penny Black Challenge - Recipe 3,2,1

Here is my card I made for the Penny Black Challenge this week.
The challenge was to follow a 'Recipe' using 3 Brads, 2 Ribbons, 1 Flower plus a Penny Black Image.
I stamped with Versafine then coloured the image with Lyra Crayons. 3 Brads were added to the large Flowerpot, this was layered onto a card which I had put through my Cuttlebug Machine using Swiss Dots Embossing Folder then attached to another strip of card, again using my Cuttlebug. The whole image I then mounted onto my card base which I had covered using Papermania Creative Tones - Equisite Paper. A large Pink Bow was attched to the top of the card with a smaller bow at the bottom of the image. As the final ingredient, a fabric flower has been attached to the bottom of my card. I decided to add peel-offs at the side of the image as I thought the hedgehogs were playing Hide & Seek.
