Sue would like you to 'Add some Bling or Glitter' for her theme this week

Good morning to all and today sees the last day of May so I am hoping that June will live up to it's name of 'Flaming June'

Time for another challenge from us, the team, over at CD SUNDAY and this time Sue has asked you to  'Add some Bling or Glitter' in your design.

Thanks for all your entries in our last challenge of
'Stepping Out' chosen by Jocelyn. It was a pleasure to visit your blogs to see your ideas and pick up new CD's you used.

It is also the end of our Monthly Blog Hop in our tribute to Wendy - Purple Crazy, so many entries it made our choice as a team to pick a winner extremely difficult.

You can see our chosen winner if you pop over to our Challenge Blog - CD SUNDAY

Onto my design for Sue's theme, you can see it below

I chose to use an 8 x 8" White Scalloped Card for my base.

I selected a beautiful background paper from Artylicious CD, now Chocolate Baroque - Peacock Summer Party, to match with my stamped image of a Perfect Peacock
 available from STAMPIN UP.

This is a wooden stamp available through Stampin Up Demonstrators only. I recently joined them as a 'Hobby' Demo' and gradually I am building up my stock, you soon get 'hooked'

I stamped using Memento Black Ink onto a card which I had previously die cut using Spellbinders Enchanted Labels 28.

It has been coloured using Spectrum Noir Pencils.

My 'Bling' is the beautiful Purple Pearls on the feathers and a couple of Purple Gems for the flower centre's plus the 'Sparkly' strip across the Lavender Lace.

A lilac bow complete with a Pearl finishes off my design.

I have a friend in mind to receive this card so I hope she likes it.

CD SUNDAY - GO GREEN

Good morning to you all, I am still here in sunny Spain but not for much longer.
3 more weeks then I will be back home returning to 'your weather'
Another week has flown by and it is time for our latest challenge over at
Thank you for taking part last week with my choice of Ornate Blossom. It is going to be difficult to choose my TOP3 but if you visit us on Tuesday/Wednesday my choices will be shown there.

Our theme this week of GO GREEN has been chosen by JENNY and she chose the theme before she took some time off. I am hoping she will be back with us before too long.

GLORIA  continues as our Guest Designer and she has designed a stunning creation. Do pop over to her blog to read all about it.

Onto my DT Card which is shown below

I decided to make an A4 Landscape Card this week, a change from my normal 6x6 Scallop.
It has been created using a Debbi Moore CD - Paper Delights Foiled Flourishes Section
Printed directly onto White Card, to which I added a white Lace Border to the top.
My Spellbinder Dies came in useful to cut out the 'mats' in a lovely shade of Green Pearl Card.
I added a Snowdrop picture from Papermania along with a Thinking of You Sentiment.
Two lovely swirl die cuts complete my design. Unfortunatley I can't remember if the swirls are Marianne Dies as they came with me last year.

I hope you will join in with us again, just remember to use something from a CD in your design and tell us which it is you have used.
While you are here, do pop over to see the stunning designs the rest of the team have created this week.

We look forward to seeing and commenting on your designs this week

Rainbow Lady Challenge - Lavender & Lace

Here is my card for Cynthia's challenge this week. I have only just made it as it closes later today.
Cynthia's Guest Designer Claire chose
LAVENDER & LACE

For my card I used toppers, backing paper and actual flowesoft from their Lavender & Lace collection.
I haven't used flowersoft for quite a while and these are the only two colours I have.
The lace from my stash has been coloured using Distress Ink - Dusty Concord
I added a few gems for a little bling

I made a little mistake whilst creating this, suffice to say, the base card was upside down once I had added the toppers Oooops!!!! Well it happens to the best crafters LOL
No panic though as I have lovely pearlescent card in a matching shade, so I cut my original card in half before mounting onto the lilac card.

I hope this pleases both Claire & Cynthia.
Do pop over to both of their blogs to see some inspiring work.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

My special friend Lorraine sent me this lovely stamped image of Willow so I decided to take part in the Whiff of Joy Challenge which this week was called 'Lavender & Lace'. I coloured Willow using Watercolour Crayons then matted her onto lavender card using my Victorian Blade to give a delicate edge. My base layer is A6 in size which I covered with a sheet of paper from my Papermania Creative Tones - Amethyst pack. I took a piece of Lace from my stash to put down the left hand side before mounting Willow onto the lace and the card. 3 Tiny gems have been added along with a Lavender fabric flower and a small lilac flower brad and gem to the bottom of the card. I am thrilled with the end result, especially as Lavender is my favourite colour.

I would like to share with all my blogger friends my latest card design. I have made this for my cousin's birthday tomorrow and have done and used something that I haven't used for a number of years, namely my Sandy Art.

Making this card has now inspired me to look at Sandy Art in a different light.
