CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE - Mainly Men

Good morning everyone, I hope you have enjoyed 'SUMMER' this week. Sadly it isn't going to last but I have made the most of the beautiful weather and resorted to crafting in the evenings.

Another Sunday so time for a new challenge from us over at CD SUNDAY.
Thank you for joining us last week, you certainly enjoyed 'A' is for  -some super designs and a few new faces.

Sadly this is the last week for our lovely Guest Designer CLAIRE, she has done us proud with her gorgeous creations, thank you Claire, hope to see you again soon.

For this weeks challenge we have the theme of
MAINLY MEN

My DT card is shown below.

RECIPE

8 x 8 Scalloped Card
Edges stamped with C1-116 stamp from Crafty Individuals using direct to stamp technique with Distress Markers.
Backing paper is from Shabby Chic Vintage Travel CD.
Gold embossed card from my stash.
I created the main design in Craft Artist using a 'FREE' kit from ALGERA DESIGNS, sadly this kit has been withdrawn so I am pleased I got it just in time.

I have been using CAP quite a lot this week to try out all the things it can do.

I hope you will join us again this week, if you are like me and don't like doing cards for men this is the opportunity to give it a whirl. Remember to use something from a CD and say which it is you have used.

Pop over to the blog to see the creations from my fellow teamies, stunning us usual.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 134 - Its' All New To Me

Good morning and a Happy New Year to you all.
Today sees the start of Rainbow Lady's new challenge blog and I am lucky to be one of her Design Team Gems.
One lucky person will be in with a chance of winning a £10 Voucher from the lovely Joanna Sheen.
For my very 1st card I used a new Stamp Plate from Crafty Individuals, unfortunatley I threw the packaging away so not sure of it's title.
I used Distress Inks and Ink Dusters for my background before stamping using Archival Black.
This has been layered onto a matching Alcohol Inked background and attached with two Metallic Purple Brads.
The whole card is attached to a Silver Base Card with a few Gems for sparkle.
Do join in with us to celebrate Cynthia's latest venture and see my other 'Teamie's' work. We look forward to visiting you and leaving comments.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Good morning all my blogging friends.
Time for another challenge from
CD SUNDAY

Our chosen theme this week is:
MUSIC & MOVEMENT

For my card this week I chose to make a 'Springy Card' as this fits the challenge of Movement.
I covered the base card with fabulous Music paper from CRAFTY INDIVIDUALS - the range being Background Papers Book 1
I love the different tones of this paper and along with lots of Music Notes it also has a couple of songs running through the music.

My beautiful topper shows two people dancing 'The Gavotte' - this is from JOANNA SHEEN'S CD - The ATC Assistant.
As there are so many beautiful images on this CD it is worth having it in your Craft Stash.
I printed the topper onto Pearlescent Card, trimmed the edges with fancy scissors before adding 'Lettuce' Distress Inks.
The flower is from my stash with a tiny Brad attached to the centre.

I have enjoyed making this type of card for a change.

Do pop over to see all the gorgeous cards our DT's have made for this week.

We would love to see you joining in with us, our rules are simple, a small piece of backing paper or a topper from a CD is all we require. Please mention the CD you use when linking back to our blog.

We are thrilled that so many of you joined in last week, it was super to see all your creations.

Keep watching this space as we have something exciting happening, starting in September.

Passion for Promarkers Challenge

I have been blog hopping this week and came across Passion for Promarkers. I saw that their challenge this week was to use shades of Lilac, and because these are my favourite colours I decided to join in the fun. The brief was to use at least two colours of lilac, fortunately I already had Amethyst & Lavender.

My background paper is from Crafty Individuals, their Book 1 Papers which I love. The image is Willow with Basket from Whiff of Joy and is one of my favourite stamps. The image was stamped onto Bristol Board using Versafine Onyx Black prior to using my Promarkers to colour. I used Dusty Concord Distress Ink around the image to take away some of the white. The flower and butterfly brad came from my stash, as did the little envelope - For You.

This is my first attempt for Promarkers challenge and I am really pleased with the way my card turned out.
