Four Legs and a Tail with Carol

Good morning to you all, did I hear someone say - It is Summer!!
As I am preparing my post for tomorrow's CD SUNDAY challenge it is raining and a bit cool.

Thanks for all your entries in our last challenge, Carol will post the Top 3 as chosen by Sue in the next post in two weeks time.

This time it is Carol's choice of theme for you and she gives you
Four Legs and a Tail
so lots of scope when you dig out those CD's you have stashed away.

My DT Card is quite simple and it is shown below

I chose to use a standard square card and printed the backing paper straight onto it.
Both the lovely image and backing paper come from
Pollyanna Pickering British Wildlife CD
The paper had a small border on the right hand side so I used a set of stamps from one of my Stampin Up stamps. The set is called Perpetual Birthday Calender which not only has the months of the year but also tiny stamps including the leaves shown above, flowers, splats, hearts, snowflakes, stars and butterflies to mention a few.
I used my Stampin Up Ink Pads in various colours for effect.
My main image has been printed onto Matt Photo paper, the border, additional leaves and small motifs are from the embellishment section on the CD.

It has grown on me as I wasn't sure at first if I liked it.

Take a moment to check out the challenge blog to see what beautiful designs the rest of the team have to show you.

Please remember to use something from a CD in your design and tell us which CD you have used.

See you all in two weeks

BIRTHDAY CARD FOR A MALE WITH WENDY

Good morning fellow bloggers and welcome to

We are almost through the month of September and I can't believe how good the weather has been.
We have changed a few things on the blog and I personally like what Sue has designed for us with our new Header and Badges. I hope you have noticed them.
Thanks for your entries in our last challenge, Caz will be choosing her TOP 3 ready for our next scheduled post in two weeks.
It is good to see regular faces joining in and we do appreciate your support.

Our challenge this week has been chosen by Wendy and her choice is
BIRTHDAY CARD FOR A MALE

I always find it difficult to make a Male Card so I hope you like my intepretation.

RECIPE

My usual scalloped card but this time it is a 6 x 6
I chose to use POLLYANNA PICKERINGS CD - BRITISH WILDLIFE for my design
This is a beautiful CD with so many lovely images and suitable for Men as well as Ladies
I printed 3 different backing papers in toning colours and attached them to my base cream card.
The main image of this adorable hedgehog has been printed onto Matt Photo Paper then attached to a smaller piece of backing paper left over from one of the Matts.
I stamped Happy Birthday and added Card Candi in tones of Lime Soda to give it texture.

An easy card to make and I am pleased with the way it turned out plus I have someone in mind for the birthday card

I hope you will join in with us again, just remember to use something from a CD in your design and say which CD it is you have used.

Take a moment to visit my fellow team members blogs to see what they have done this week.

Sunday, 7 September 2014

Good morning to you all, welcome to the first challenge of September from the team over at

Thank you for your entries in our last challenge and Sue will be choosing her TOP 3 entries for next time, so pop back to see if it is you.

Caz chose the theme for you this week, which is
HAPPILY EVER AFTER
You will have lots of scope for this, maybe wedding or anniversary

My DT Card is shown below

I have designed an Easel Card for a change, both of the backing papers are from one of my older CD's which I must admit I had forgotten I had.
It is the Embossibilities CD from SHARON DUNCAN
Sharon has a sale at the moment so worth a look for a bargain or too
My main topper is from JOANNA SHEEN'S Enchanted Dreams CD which has been printed on Matt Photo Paper.
I thought this was a beautiful image and perfect for an Anniversary Card.
I added a delicate stamped and coloured flower - Vintage Morning Background Set from Heartfelt Creations and a border of Gems.
For my stopper I used one of my older Wood mounted stamps to stamp
Happy Anniversary

I hope you will join us, just remember to use something from a CD in your design and tell us which it is you have used.

CD SUNDAY - KIMONO

Good morning to you all, I am back home and looking forward to summer. Not much sign of it happening yet though.
Another Sunday which means time for our latest challenge from CD SUNDAY
Thank you for your entries last week, I loved visiting you all and you certainly impressed me with your 'take' on the theme.

This week it's CAZ's turn to choose the theme and she decided to go with
KIMONO

We still have the lovely WYNN as our Guest Designer for June and she has created a beautiful design for you this week. Do take a look at her Blog to see how it has been made.

My DT Card is shown below

This week I used an 8 x 8 Scalloped Card for the base.
The main backing paper is from
Oriental Dreams CD 2 - Joanna Sheen.
The next two layer's plus the image are from CD1
I decided to emboss the papers for a change, something I had seen my fellow team member Jenny do and I liked the effect she had obtained.
The main image has been printed onto Matte Photo Paper.
A couple of fabric flowers have been added for embellishments. Not so sure about the colour of the flowers but I hadn't any that were a paler colour.
I am trying to use up my Peel Offs and these fitted perfectly with the Oriental theme.

I hope you will continue to join in with us, just remember to use something from a CD in your design and say which it is you have used.

Do take a look at the blog as my fellow team members have created beautiful designs for you again this week.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE - FROSTY DAYS

Good morning to all my followers and welcome to our latest challenge over at
I understand from my family and friends that BERYL'S choice of
FROSTY DAYS

Not so for us, as we have clear blue skies and lots of sunshine here in Spain.
Thanks for your entries in last week's challenge, pop over to see if the Random Selector has chosen you for the Prize from our Sponsor - The Art of Craft.

My internet connection hasn't been good this week, especially at night so I have taken the opportunity to schedule my post during the day. Just hope Blogger behaves and the post goes 'live'

This is the second week for our lovely Guest Designer - LYNN, who you know as LINBY
She has done us proud and created a beautiful card to share with you so do pop over to her blog and leave your comments.

CD SUNDAY - OH CHRISTMAS TREE

Hello and welcome to our latest challenge over at CD SUNDAY
The theme this week is chosen by Caz and she chose - Oh Christmas Tree

Last week we said goodbye to Pauline and we have joining us as our Guest Designer for December,
Lynn who  you may know as Linby
Lynn has been joining us regularary so the team decided to invite her to join us as we like her work.

from Thomas Kincade CD - Christmas
Printed onto Matt paper and added Mirri Board to matt the topper
A few punched flowers from the same Mirri Card and a sentiment from my stash complete the design.

It has been Carol's turn to choose the theme this week and I am sure it will be one you like.
She chose - AWASH WITH FLOWERS and my DT card is shown below.
My card is two fold this week. As it is my Sister's birthday on Monday I decided that she would love to receive this card, she always send's me a text even though she doesn't 'do' blogs and lets me know what she thinks of my card's, however, she is under strict instructions NOT to look until Monday.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE - FELINE FRIENDS

Good morning everyone and welcome to our latest challenge over at
Thanks for all your entries in last week's challenge, some great takes on the theme.
This week it is Beryl's turn to choose the theme and she chose
FELINE FRIENDS
KEVIN continues as our Guest Designer and you will like his interpretation of our theme. Do take a look at Kevin's blog, he has super designs on there.

My DT Card is shown below

I started with a 6 x 6 Scalloped Card Blank
Backing paper is from 'Ivory Cats' CD - Joanna Sheen
I placed a Pale Blue Pearlescent mat cut using my new Marianne Die - Anja Quandrant.
A darker shade of Pearlescent Blue, cut again from the same die, but this time the Lacey Element of the Die
My main image from the above CD has been printed onto Matt Photo Paper.
I decided it didn't need any further embellishments as the die speaks for itself.

I hope you will join us again as we love to visit you and leave comments.
Remember to use something from a CD in your design and say which CD you have used.

Pop over to the blog to read how my Teamie's created their designs this week.

I am hoping Mr Blogger behaves as I have scheduled this post and won't be able to check as we are out early in the morning.
