Flitter and Flutter with Jenny

Good morning to you all, time for our latest challenge over at CD SUNDAY

I hope you have been making the most of the weather recently and if the forecast is right we will be sizzling next week just in time for Wimbledon Fortnight.

Thank you for your entries in Carol's challenge, pop back in two weeks time to see who she has chosen for her Top 3.

This time it is Jenny's turn to choose and she would like you to
FLITTER and FLUTTER.

Lots of scope so I look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving comments.

This is my DT Card

Flitter and Flutter meant to me 'Butterflies' I have a love for them so hoping they will be around the garden soon.

I used A5 Pearlescent Card for my base and printed directly onto it with a Design created in
Craft Artist using a beautiful kit called 'Love Florals'

The picture may not show that I used two matching Backing Papers and added this gorgeous panel of flowers.

I then chose to use a few Butterfly Stamps from Stampin Up - Creative Elements for the large Butterfly which was stamped using Wisteria Wonder Ink again from Stampin Up.
The additional butterflies are from  Butterfly Basics and Papillion Potpourri Stamp Sets using Pool Party and Marina Mist Inks.
My sentiment is from Butterfly Basics Stamp Set also.

I really like how Centura Pearl combines with stamps and inks, it gives a muted effect.

I hope you like my 'take' on Jenny's choice.

Take a moment to pop over to CD Sunday to see my fellow team mates contributions, as always they have excelled.

Please remember to use something from a CD in your design and we do count Craft Artist as a CD as well as Digi Images from CD's. Just tell us which CD you have used in your design.

Silhouttes with Carol

Good morning fellow bloggers and welcome to our latest challenge from the team at

It was great to see so many entries in our last challenge and Jenny will have problems choosing her TOP 3, make a note to look again in 2 weeks to see if it is you.

We learnt this week that Wendy, who has been with us since the beginning has decided the time has come for her to step down. She will be missed by us all but we wish her well.

This week it is Carol's turn to choose your theme and she has decided
SILHOUTTES
so dig out your CD's and join in with us.

My DT Card is shown below

I am back with my favourite 6 x 6 Scalloped Card for the base
My backing paper and image are from one of my older CD's by Joanna Sheen
Dancing with Shadows
If you are like me you forget what is on these older CD's and I really enjoyed re-visiting it.
I used one of my Anja Dies to cut the main paper and used Centura Pearl and an embossing folder to attach the main image.
The embellishments are from my stash which I re-discovered whilst sorting my craft room.
They are the original ones by Papermania and are stored in individual clear boxes. Of course I had to use the Butterfly and Dragonfly and added 4 Teardrops to the edge of the mat.

Pop over to the blog to see what my other teamies have created and remember to use a little something from a CD in your design. It doesn't have to be a card, you can design ATC's Boxes, Bags etc, the choice is yours.

CD Sunday is presenting DIES for the next two weeks

Good morning everyone and welcome to CD SUNDAY

I hope you have been enjoying the super weather this week.
I certainly have as I have just returned from a couple of weeks in Spain. It has been too hot for me as the temperatures reached 30 deg on a few days and didn't cool down much at night.
Serves me right I suppose for taking a sabatical while my fellow team members were stuck in the UK.

Thanks for all your entries in our last challenge, some stunning designs and I am sure that CAZ will have difficulty choosing her Top 3.

I think we are giving you an easy challenge for the next two weeks as I know many of you will have lots
of DIES in your crafting stash.
This is our theme and has been chosen by Jenny

You can see my DT Card below

I chose to make an 8 x 8 Scalloped Easel Card which coincided with my husbands birthday.
I used backing papers and the main topper of this beautiful Barn Owl from my

My topper has been printed onto Matte Photo Paper.
For my 'DIES' element I used Quatrefoil Pattern Trellis to sit the topper onto, cut out using Centura Pearl Hint of Silver Card
The stopper is an Opulent Oval Die
My Happy Birthday Sentiment is from Tattered Lace along with the two corners and the strip underneath the stopper.

This CD is one of my particular favourites
Pollyanna's artwork is stunning and in my opinion a 'must have' CD

I hope you will join in with us especially now you have two weeks to make your design.
Please remember to use something from a CD in your design and say which CD you have used.

Take a moment to visit my fellow team members blogs to see their designs, you won't be disapointed.

Victorian Beauties with CD Sunday

Good morning to you all, how time flies and it is Sunday again and time for our latest challenge over at

This week fellow team member WYNN has chosen your theme and I am sure you will love her choice.
She has chosen
VICTORIAN BEAUTIES

So it is time to check out all your CD's and see what you can design for us this week.

My DT Card is shown below

RECIPE

8 x 8 Scalloped White Card for the base
I chose a couple of beautiful papers to add to the card from
I haven't used Purple for a while so I chose to go with this colour theme.
My 'Victorian Beautie' Topper is from Joanna Sheen's ATC CD, a CD that doesn't get used much as I no longer make ATC's.
I added one of my latest Tattered Lace Dies - Double Delights which came free with Issue 2 of their Tattered Lace Magazine. If you like Tattered Lace these magazines are a must have.
I cut out the Die using Centura Pearl and I think it compliments the beautiful lace on the lady's hat and dress.

I hope you will join in with us, just remember to use something from a CD in your design and let us know which CD you have used.

Take a moment to visit our Blog to see the beautiful designs my fellow team members have for you this week.

I will visit you and leave you comments, which for me, is one of the nicest parts of being a DT Member.

CD SUNDAY - DREAMS & DRAGONS

Good morning to you all on what seems to be the start of another beautiful sunny day.
We are really doing well with the wall to wall sunshine, I am loving it but guess that is because I got used to it whilst I was spending the winter in Spain.

Another week has flown by and so good to see your designs for last weeks challenge, I hope you felt cooler while you were busy making them.

Time for another challenge from us at CD SUNDAY and this week is the turn of
SUE T to choose the theme, which is
DREAMS & DRAGONS

Our lovely TESS continues as our July Guest Designer and as always she has created something special for you this week.

You can see my DT Card Below

RECIPE

White 8 x 8 Scalloped Card for the base.
The backing paper and image are both from Joanna Sheen's - ENCHANTED DREAMS CD

This is one of my all time favourite CD's, each time I use it I see something on there I haven't noticed before.
The backing paper is printed directly onto 160 gsm paper which I have managed to obtain from Staples and for the image, I chose Digital Pearl Card which I purchased from Craftwork Cards.

The image has been matted onto Centura Pearl Cardstock which I had put through my Big Shot using the Tied Together Embossing Folder.

A few 'Delicate Aster Die Cuts' have been added as embellishments and the centre's of the flowers are Card Candi.

Someone I know has just purchased the matching stamps and she has told me they are gorgeous. I am waiting until I go to the Craft Festival to get mine.

I do hope you will join in with us again, remember to use something from a CD in your design and tell us which it is you have used, (we may need to add it to our collection)

Do pop over to see the stunning creations from my fellow team mates, you won't be disapointed.
