Good morning to you all and welcome to our first challenge for October from the team at
My post is scheduled as I will be having a lie in after spending the day at
The Happy Stampers Show at Port Sunlight.
I had an early start yesterday and quite a bit of driving but worth it to meet up with several of my crafting friends, some of whom I met for the first time.
Thank you for all your entries for the last challenge, it is lovely to see some many entries and some people joining in twice.
Check back in two weeks to see who Wendy has chosen as her TOP 3
Your theme for this fortnight has been chosen by JENNY and as it is getting ever nearer to Christmas you won't be surprised with her choice of theme of
CHRISTMAS IS COMING
I have done something a little different this time which you can see below
With many thanks to SAM HAMMOND DONALD and one of her Tutorials I decided to make a few cards which fit into a lovely box. Perfect for a present, not only for Christmas but you can adapt it for any sort of cards.
I used my Ooh-la-la- Creations CD - The Shawn Jenkins Collection - Christmas section to make my box, cards and also a matching card and envelope.
The box is easy to make, if you follow Sam's tutorial you will see what I mean.
My cards are blank 4 x 4 complete with envelopes
For my design, I printed off 'Merry Christmas' a few times onto 120 gsm paper which I attached to the blank cards.
My main card matches the design but I chose to print it as 'Pyramage' for effect.
The envelope is a paper from the same section on the CD and made using my Stampin Up Envelope Board. This is a worth while investment as I am using it a lot now. You can google the uses for the board and you will be surprised how many different sizes of envelopes and other things you can do with it.
To wrap round my box I used the same paper as my large envelope and added a Red Satin Bow.
I am getting quite good with bow tying now
I look forward to seeing your designs, visiting and leaving comments on your blogs
Take a moment to check out the rest of the teams designs, you won't be disapointed.
