Today is the last day to join in with
Crafty Ann's Challenge and I have made it just in time.
Ann's challenge for the last two weeks was to do a 'Shaped Easel Card'. This is the first time I have made one and the Octagonal template is a FREEBIE over on Ann's blog.
I changed my mind so many times before finally deciding on this one.
Top backing paper is from a Joanna Sheen CD, Oriental Dreams I think, the base paper is from Ann's Digi Shop.
For my topper I used one of my oriental stamps which had been stamped onto card which I had distressed. I have used my new Martha Stewart Corner Punch on the mat and then placed the topper on top.
I have distressed the edges of the card with Butterscotch Adirondack Ink, it shows a bit too dark but it has been a learning curve and I will go carefully next time.
For my stopper I added a ribbon border from my stash and a chinese coin completes the card.

This is lovely Christine - you're first easel card is a triumph. I hope you'll be tempted to make more. I'm glad you were able to get one done.

Great card Christine - the oriental theme goes well with that shape. Well done for achieving such good results on your first easel card. Tess x
