Kind and Caring Thoughts with Christine

Hello and welcome to our latest challenge over at

As I prepare my post the sun is shining and it is a lovely warm day, I hope it has been the same for you.

Thank you for your entries for Carol's challenge of 'Round Again - Recycling'
not so many of you but guess it is holiday season and Carol will have trouble choosing her Top 3 as the entries we did have were super.

For this fortnight it is my turn to choose the theme and I have chosen
KIND and CARING THOUGHTS.

I am sure we all need this type of card at sometime in our lives so I look forward to visiting you and seeing your take on the theme.

My DT Card is shown below

I have made an A5 Landscape Card for a change and used 200gsm Card and a paper from
'In Other Words' CD from Joanna Sheen for the base.
I haven't done my favourite colour of lilac for a while so decided this is what I would choose.
The actual topper is also from the same CD and you can change the colour and font of the verses to match.

The sentiment says

Say Yes to Life
Say Yes to life and let it come
Bounding into heart and home
Giving all it has to give
Say your Yes to Life - and live

Patience Strong

I used a scalloped purple card as a mat and tied ribbon around the middle and down the edge of the card.
I cut out a lovely die - Raindrops on Roses - HCD 743 which was a purchase from Oyster Stamps when I attended the workshop with Emma Lou Beechy who is the Creative Director of Heartfelt Creations, here is the link to their Facebook Page
The die has been cut in half and placed either side of the mat and under the ribbon, a few gems were added for a bit of bling.
The die underneath the bow is - Arianna Lace - HCD 747, again from Oyster Stamps
A few purple pearls complete my design.

As it is my week to choose I am giving you a second card, just because I can

This time it is my favourite 6 x 6 Scalloped Card for the base.
Both the backing paper and sentiment topper is from the same CD as above.

This sentiment is

TAKE HEART

Take heart, Take comfort too,
Let time be kind to you
Think thoughts that heal and bless,
With quiet happiness.

Patience Strong

I chose to matt the topper onto a piece of Burgundy card which I had already embossed and it's from my craft box.
3 Flowers have been punched and added as embellishments along with a Burgundy Ribbon Bow
For a little sparkle on the flowers, glitter has been added.

I hope you like what I have created and look forward to seeing your designs, please remember to use something from a CD and say which it is you have used.

My fellow teamie's have beautiful idea's for you, so do pop over to see what they have designed for you.
