CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE 4

Here is my DT Card for Challenge 4 over on CD SUNDAY

My image of a beautiful Country Cottage is from The Cardmakers Year CD from Joanna Sheen, printed onto Photo Glossy Paper with a black surround.

The main background is Silver Mirri which I embossed using the Victorian Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. To this I added Hazelnut & Mountain Rose Alcohol Inks to give a shimmer effect.

I used a Martha Stewart Punch and Stardream Card to make a fancy edge to the top and bottom of my card.
Petaloo Flowers and 2 Butterflies add the finishing touch.

Please pop over to CD Sunday to see the other DT Members creations.

We look forward to seeing your designs this week

Your card is fab Christine. I'm guessing the theme is something to do with cottages or countyside. The post isn't up on the challenge blog yet. I've checked a few times now.
Not to worry it'll turn up eventually.

Hi Christine, lovely card. I have heard a lot of crafters say they have probs with this particular die. I think I did a piece about it but can't remember when. I have to go out now, but will look later. You could look yourself under the labels section on the sidebar - or try placing a piece of wax paper over the top of your card. Greaseproof might work, but not as well. Also you could rub a candle over the cut edge and try running through on scrap card. Hope this helps. ikki x

ps: thanks for your comments, I appreciate you support of the Cupboard.

Lovely card Christine.

If you are struggling to get the cut out of your fleur de lis die....try using some wax paper under the paper you are cutting so that it gets cut by the die first and this should help you to get the pieces out.
