Stepping Out with Jocelyn

Good morning everyone, these Sunday's seem to come round so quickly and it is another challenge from the team over at

I have scheduled my post as I will have been to Telford at a Stampin Up meeting on Saturday and no doubt will be very tired after an early start.

Good to see your entries for 'Curious Cats' as chosen by Wynn, I have enjoyed visiting you to leave comments on your blogs.
I made my choice for my challenge of 'Layer it Up' - you didn't make it easy for me but I have decided on my TOP 3 so pop over to CD Sunday to see if you are included.
I have a small prize for the winner.

For our challenge this week, Jocelyn is
STEPPING OUT
Lots of scope for this theme so I look forward to seeing your designs

This is my DT Card below

I made an 6 x 6 Card using backing papers from
Ooh-la-la-Creations CD Shoes in Bloom.
2 sheets of  Lilac Pearlised card were used to print off two different designs.
One piece I cut diagonally and attached it to the edge of the card.
My beautiful shoe was printed directly onto Vellum Paper and attached with White Butterfly Brads from my stash to white Pearlised Card
I have these so long I can't remember where I bought them from.
A little Parchment work has been done in one corner, must confess I have had this topper made for such a long time and the Parchment work was done when my eyes were better than they are now.

I hope you will join in with us, please remember to use something from a CD in your design and give credit to the CD you use.

See you all in two weeks

Rainbow Lady's Challenge #147

Good morning to you all, hope you are enjoying the sunshine we have had for the last few days.

It's Thursday once again which means it is time for the latest challenge over at

Thanks to you all for joining in last weeks challenge, we enjoyed visiting your blogs and leaving you comments.

Cynthia has chosen a super theme this week entitled

LILAC WINE

and we have the lovely Joanna Sheen as our Sponsor this week.

My DT Card is shown below

I have used a fabulous Die Cut Square from K & Co to make the base of my card, which I matted onto a backing paper sprayed with various colours of Cosmic Shimmers. Must confess this paper was made quite a while ago and stored carefully away, so carefully, I forgot I had made it.

My Wine Bottle is a template, cut out using paper from HOTP Sarabooks - Amethyst Collection, again found whilst searching through all my craft papers.

The tag comes from the same book and I attached a Lilac Butterfly Brad to secure it to the card.

The lovely embellishments are from K & Co Grande Adhesions - Lilac range, I have had these for such a long time so thought it was time to give them an airing.

Do pop over to see what the rest of my lovely 'teamies' have made for this week, some beautiful designs.

Thanks for popping by and I appreciate any comments you leave.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Another week has gone by so time again for this weeks challenge from
CD SUNDAY which is
LOOKS LIKE SUMMER

Our DT's have created beautiful cards again and above is my creation for this week.

For my card I chose to use the fabulous - Shoes in Bloom CD

I think this particular CD is lovely when printed onto Parchment Paper

RECIPE

Pearlised Card from Penniesworth
White Parchment Paper
Beautiful image & background papers from Shoes in Bloom CD

I chose two of the matching papers along with this beautiful topper to make my card.
The topper has been printed onto White Parchment to which I added a lace border using a 2 Needle Tool.
To compliment the shoes I have worked a lovely pattern using a 4 needle tool, embossing in between the perforations before cutting into crosses with my Pergamano Scissors. I think this is one of my favourite patterns and easy for a beginner to follow.
This has been attached to pearlised card with butterfly brads from my stash.
I made a diagonal cut as I wanted to show both sets of the paper and then attached the topper onto half of the card only.

Do pop over and look at the fabulous cards from the Design Team this week.

We hope we have inspired you to join in with us and look forward to seeing your work
