Good morning to my blogging friends and I am so excited as I have been selected to be Bah! Humbug's Guest Designer for the month of June. How wonderful is that.
Ann & Max have chosen a super challenge for you all this week, which is
'SURPRISE'
We want you to create a project with a hidden surprise and for my Debut DT design I chose to make an Advent Calendar which you can see below.
I have used the Christmas CD from Thomas Kincade triple CD, courtesy of Joanna Sheen
I printed the design onto an A4 White Pearlescent Card and very carefully cut out the 24 individual windows with my Craft Knife, not as easy as you think.
This is backed onto a 'hidden' second sheet and when the windows are opened they reveal a scene for each day leading up to Christmas Day.
I hope you will continue to support the lovely ladies over at Humbug Hall, I don't know how they come up with different challenges each week.
By the beginning of December you should have lots of cards ready to post and it is all down to this fabulous blog.
We hope you will join in with us all this week and look forward to seeing your interpretation of 'Surprise' and leaving comments on your blogs.
Autumnal Thank You

Congrat on your guest DT spot at B!H! Beautiful calendar! I can't even imagine cutting all those little widows by hand. Fab job! xxD
Very impressed indeed! Must have taken ages to cut that lot out! Well done on being GDT at Humbug Hall.

I am so loving your advent calender :-) Must have taken an eternity, and such neat cutting of the windows. I am just not good with freehand cutting using a crafting knife. I have sent a link of your blog posting about your fantastic advent calender to our local camera club members - thinking we could use our winter photos to make our own advent calenders to help raise funds for our group.

This is just such a beautiful image, so clasically Christmassy and I love the advent calendar. Still like opening the windows to see what picture is going to be behind and I'm (supposed to be) a grown up lol.
Trudy :o)

Hi Christine ... we're delighted to have you join us at Humbug Hall this month. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this fabulous advent calender for our Surprise Challenge - I think I'm going to have to have a go at a couple of these this year. Am thinking it would a lovely surprise gift for mine and hubby's parents with different photos of their grandchildren to reveal behind each window. Thank you for sharing!
Luv'n'Stuff
