I am having so much trouble with my connection here in Spain so apologies if you popped by yesterday and nothing was showing.

We continue with our lovely Guest Designer - Beryl and she has created another beautiful design for you.

I chose to use LIBRA as this is my Birthday Sign.

Image has been matted onto Spellbinders Labels 23 which in turn is matted onto beautiful paper from PAM LEFORS. Pam has some wonderful designs and is currently offering discount of up to 50% on some of her designs. Well worth a visit to see what she has to offer.

My swirls are a new purchase of Memory Box Dies - AIMRA FLOURISH which can be cut in half as shown on my card.

Good morning to you all, what a week I have had but at last I have been able to load my DT card for this weeks challenge over at CD SUNDAY

It is my turn to choose your theme for this week and between the site internet connection and blogger throwing a wobbly I thought I may not be able to join you.

Today see's the start of a New Challenge Blog which is being run by a very good friend of mine, Deb's Mitchell and I am delighted to say I was asked to be part of her Design Team.

Sadly I am unable to take part this month as I am waiting for Inks to arrive from England. You may know that I am spending the winter months in Spain, however be assured I will be joining in with the rest of the Design Team from February.

Good afternoon fellow bloggers, apologies for my post being late. Blogger has changed the way it works and it has taken me a while to sort it out.
Our latest challenge over at CD SUNDAY is

FIFTIES FUN

This is our last challenge for 2011 and we will be running it over two weeks. From January we will be back to our usual format of weekly and for the first week we have a Super Sponsor for you.

I must admit I found it very challenging as I do not have all my crafting stuff with me, just the basic's of CD's, Card, etc. I am spending the winter in Spain so I limited myself to the bare minimum, silly me forgot ribbon, gems, embellies etc.
However whilst searching through my CD's I came across a particular one called Strictly Card Dancers, apt as last night was the Strictly Final.
I chose an image of a couple dancing the jive and also a matching backing paper. I layered the image onto black card which had been embossed with the Cuttlebug.
I had nothing to add to it which is a shame as I think it needs a little something to finish it off.

A6 Card made using one of the backing papers from the CD. I chose this delightful 'Mouse' for my image which I mounted onto Pink Mirri Card which has been embossed using Swiss Dots Folder and my Cuttlebug. The Floral motif at the top is a Spellbinder Die from my stash.

A5 Card created using one the beautiful papers from the CD. My topper is from the section of cards where you click and print. I used brads to attach it to the card base. A Lacey Oval Spellbinder Die stamped with a message from 'The Butterfly Tree' set of stamps from Little Claire Designs completes the card.

My cute Tiger Cub is sitting on a Tim Holtz Flourish Die Cut' with added Gold Gems.

Apologies to you all for my late posting. We asked our Internet Provider to suspend our connection from 3rd December as we will be in Spain for the winter, HOWEVER, they disconnected on 14th November. I am not a happy bunny as it won't be reconnected until 29th November.

Hologram card is behind my piece of black card to which I have stamped a selection of trees using Versamark then added a few colours of Perfect Pearls over the top.

Good morning fellow bloggers, hope you have recovered from Bonfire Night Party's. We had a lot going off around us last night and I am sure tomorrow night will be the same.

As it is the first Sunday of November for us at CD SUNDAY, we have a new Sponsor for this week - CAROLINE who owns a fabulous site and does all her own artwork which she sells as Digi Kits.

Her kits are fantastic value, each kit comprises of Papers, Silhoutte Frames, Matting Papers plus other items to embellish your design.

Caroline has just produced a few Christmas Themed Kits, so do pop along to her site to see for yourself what good value they are.

She gave all the DT's their own kit to play with and I have had such fun making my card for this week.

Caroline is offering one of her Digi Kits as a prize for one lucky participant.

We also have a new Guest Designer for the month of November, so please welcome SUE to our team. Sue has been taking part in our challenges for some time and she impressed all the DT with her entries so we decided to ask her to join us. Fortunately for us, she agreed.

The main backing paper is from Essence of Nature CD - Glenda Waterworth - now Chocolate Baroque

The second layer is also from the same CD.

For my 'topper' I used one of the beautiful papers from Carolines Sunset Silhouttes Digi Kit.

I used Craft Artist to import the paper and then added different elements from the same kit. Using Craft Artist to make my card is a 'First' and I really enjoyed importing the elements and playing around to achieve the finished card.

I used a total of 7 different elements from the Digi Kit in creating my design.

4 Black Gems have been added as a finishing touch.

I stamped this beautiful peacock direct on to the Label using Memento - Paris Dusk Ink and stamped a few peacock feathers direct onto background using the same ink.

Glitter has been added to the feathers for a little sparkle along with Gems to give some texture.

A satin ribbon from my stock was placed down the left hand side with a little Card Candi added, again for texture.

I has been a pleasure to see all the lovely designs this CD has to offer and my thanks to Glenda for her support of our blog.

One lucky person will be chosen to receive a fabulous prize of not 1 but 3 CD's from Glenda.

Good morning everyone, I hope you are making the most of the Bank Holiday, the weather is unsettled where I live so hope it is better with you.

As usual our DT's have been busy preparing their designs as well as out Guest DT - Debs

This is the last week for her being a GDT and we have so enjoyed having her input we will be sorry to see her go. Hopefully we can persuade her to return at a later date.

Another easier challenge as we all like to make this sort of card to send to our friends and loved ones, just to let them know we are thinking of them.

Backing Papers and beautiful image from - Ooh-la-la-creations CD - Carnival of Colour. I only received it this week and couldn't wait to start playing with it. It is beautiful CD, second only to their Shoes in Bloom CD.

I cut the matching backing papers using my Nestabilitie Dies - Label 1, I am fortunate to have the complete set of these.

The dies and papers have been placed at an angle and the lovely Rose topper placed in the middle.

A couple of flowers made using one of my punches and for my finishing touch I added Card Candi from Craftwork Cards

I must confess though that I purchased quite a few packs this week as they were on offer, well, I couldn't let a bargain go, could I.

Good morning to you all, another week has flown by and once again it is time for our latest challenge over at

CD SUNDAY

Our theme this week is

ONLY OVALS

It is the second week for our lovely Guest Designer, DEBS, and she has produced a beautiful card to share with you. Do pop over to her blog and leave her some love.

My DT Card is shown below:

This week I have used a lovely CD from - PEERLESS DESIGNS

It is called - Peerless Designs Vol 3 - Floral Elegance

My base card is one of the many fabulous papers on the CD and I chose to use muted tones of Pink & Green.

The largest Oval was cut using a Grand Oval Nestabilitie Die using a matching paper.

My pale green Ovals are 'Beaded Ovals' in two different sizes, as are the Pink centre Ovals.

A few punched flowers have been attached with brads for the centre Ovals.

The flourish is from 'Floral Flourishes' courtesy of Spellbinders and a recent purchase along with a few others.

I attached 3 Pearls to part of the flourish to give dimension.

Now onto this week, my DT card is shown below

All the design has come from this beautiful CD and if you haven't got it yet, why not?

Their are so many beautiful papers, elements, sewing things, patchwork pockets and of course Grandma herself, far too many to name.

I took a pearlescent A4 card and chose 2 different papers from the selection available and printed on both sides of the card.

For a change I made a seperated easel card with the two easels at different depths.

A border strip from another section of the CD was placed to make the easel stands and a small strip has been added along the bottom edge.

I printed out 4 different sentiments to attach to my card.

Finally 3 buttons have been added along with a couple of blue gems.

Parchment Craft Workshop

For my lovely friend Carol who does the most gorgeous Parchment Work.

These are 4 out of 6 butterflies made from a Parchment Craft Workshop I recently went to with my Sister. Our tutor is a special friend and we first met her back in 1998 when we attended the start of her evening classes.

The Pink & Purple ones were completed in class (with a little help from my Sister), the Blue and Lemon ones I have made at home.

I am trying to get back into this wonderful art, however I am waiting to see a specialist as I have been diagnosed as having 'Macular Hole' in my left eye. Once it has been sorted I have made a promise to myself to start again.

The challenge we have for you this week is

BLING IT UP

We are joined again by CHRIS who has been our Guest Designer for July, sadly this is her last week but we hope to have her back with us at a later date. Do pop over to her blog and leave comments. Thankyou Chris, we have enjoyed your input.

My DT card is shown below

I decided to use one of Debbi Moore's CD's - Glitter & Glitz Magic Moments.

My image has been printed onto Parchment and I used one of my Grids to make a border around the image.

Backing papers are from the same CD and I decided to use a couple of Martha Stewart punches to edge the image. The left hand side is a ribbon punch to which black ribbon has been threaded and gems in black & silver add a little bling.

The right hand side is a vine punch, a favourite of mine, again a couple of silver gems complete the flower centres.

I attached the vellum using white brads and completed the card with a few more black gems.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Good morning all my fellow bloggers, Sunday is here again which means time for our latest challenge over at CD SUNDAY

Thanks for all your entries in last week's challenge, quite a few of you submitted your entries very early which for us is lovely to see.

We are joined again this week by Chris - our Guest Designer for July and she has done us proud yet again, do pop over to her blog and leave comments.

Our chosen theme this week is

DREAM and my DT card is shown below.

I chose one of the many beautiful images from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams CD.

This is a CD you can look at over and over and realise you how much you first miss when using it.

The image and backing paper is from the 'Flight Section' of the CD and the image is printed onto Glossy Photo Paper, cut and matted onto a toning piece of blue card.

I attached the backing paper to a Navy A5 Landscape Card, rounding the corners with an XCut corner punch. Before adding the image I chose a piece of beautiful organza ribbon to wrap round the base card.

Petaloo flowers from my stash compliment the design and for a final finishing touch, Silver peel offs, Live, Love Dream have been added to the side.

Parchment Grid Practice

I am very slowly getting back into my Parchment Work and as I have a class tomorrow with my Parchment Tutor and very good friend, I decided a little practice was necessary.

The first is an image from Shoes in Bloom CD, printed onto parchment paper with a few butterflies added.

My 2nd card has been made using Pergamano Multi Grid No 5

The centre flower is from a Crafty Bitz 3D Stickers Pack.

This week I chose to use Serif Craft Artist CD for my background, 'Nautical' sentiment and sea shell.

I am still learning this program and I like how you can manipulate things before printing out.

I added a couple of digi images from my files to compliment the scene and coloured them using Promarkers.

As usual with our challenge we ask that you use a CD somewhere in your design, it could be a piece of backing paper or element and please say which CD you have used.

Good morning everyone, welcome to our latest challenge over at

CD SUNDAY

We are done and dusted with Christmas for a while, thanks for joining us last week.

Our challenge this week definately has a 'girly' feel to it as it is

HANDBAGS

we can never have too many.

We are joined again by Chris as this months Guest Designer and she has delighted us with a fab design.

I have my Sister to thank for giving me this lovely die cut handbag.

I placed in an embossing folder - TRELLIS and put it through the Grand Calibur.

My elements are from the latest CD by Debs and is called Paper Flower Boutique.

I printed one of the many beautiful designs onto Parchment then carefully pricked around the circle and flowers with a 2 needle tool.

The leaves I decided to cut using small scissors.

Brads have been added to the centre of the flower and at the top and sides.

I used Apple Green Promarker to highlight the design which was already on the handbag.

Bah! Humbug! Challenge - Penguins

Good morning to all my blogging friends and welcome to the latest challenge from Ann & Max who are of course Bah! Humbug!

Sadly this is my last week of being their Guest Designer, I have had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of their weekly challenges.

The month has been a tough one as the challenges required a lot of research to come up with designs I thought they would like. This weeks challenge has had me thinking ever since I received their list and if you bare with me I will explain.

No Penguin stamps, no backing papers with penguins, gosh what was I going to do!

Well, we have foxes around our area and we frequently see them in our garden, parents and 4 fox cubs and guess what they left for me!!!!

This lovely cuddly Penguin, obviously taken from a garden nearby and no doubt the cubs had fun playing with it before leaving it for Colin (my OH) to find. He knew the theme so he picked it up and sat him on our well so I would find him.

I couldn't resist taking a picture and decided there and then what I would use the picture for.

Hope you are still with me, LOL

I took the image into Craft Artist, resized and inserted him onto backing paper, added the holly sprig and the christmas trees.

He was then layered onto card from Artylicious Seasons Greeting CD before layering again onto Happy Christmas card from the same CD. A Happy Christmas banner has been added along with a couple of gems to finish the card.

End of story, phew!!!!

My second card is a Digi Image, sorry I can't remember where from. He has been coloured with Promarkers then layered on Burgundy Card cut with one of my Nestability Dies.

The backing paper is from the above CD which I put through the Cuttlebug using Divine Swirls embossing folder and then layered onto green card which had been embossed using Lattice embossing folder from Creative Expressions.

I hope you have taken all this in and I ask you give the ladies at Bah! Humbug! some support by joining in their weekly challenges. I now have 6 more cards for my christmas box.

Nephews Birthday Card

Something to share with you at it is my eldest Nephews birthday on Saturday.

We always have a laugh between us plus a little banter so I decided to make him a fun card.

The backing paper and topper are from Cupcake CD - Wild Animals and I chose this cute Meercat.

I added a Happy Birthday Sentiment using a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and cut the shape with a Nestability Die. Decided to add a couple of brads to finish off the card.

I used Joanna Sheen's - Elegant Fans CD and printed the matching backing papers for the topper onto Pearlescent card from my stash.

A border has been punched using a Martha Stewart punch - Vine Leaves.

Careful scoring using, of course, my Hougie to show both of the backing paper designs.

My beautiful topper has been printed onto Glossy Photo Paper and a couple of Die Cut Flourishes from Tim Holtz are added.

I chose to add a Burgundy Tassel attached to the topper with a matching Brad.

A few holographic gems complete the card.

Bah Humbug Challenge - Scarves & Mittens

Good morning to you all and welcome to the latest challenge from the ladies at Humbug Hall

This is my 3rd week as a Guest DT and I am enjoying being part of this super blog.

The theme this week is

Scarves & Mittens

suitable for this wet and windy we are having, but also of course for Christmas.

I have two cards to share this week, the first one is an image taken from Giordano Christmas Creations CD, printed onto Glossy Card. I little Glamour Dust is added for sparkle. The backing papers are from my Christmas stash and I added Gold Peel Offs for a finishing touch.

My second card is stamped using a Snowman stamp designed by Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy

Coloured using Promarkers before cutting out with my Scalloped Oval Nestie Die. I placed him on some Red leather look card before layering onto paper, again from my christmas stash.
I enjoyed making them both and the reason for two this week, well, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the first card so decided to have a play with stamps and promarkers. When I submitted my cards to Humbug Hall for approval the ladies kindly said they would show both on their blog.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE - IF THE SHOE FITS

Good morning to you all and welcome to our latest challenge over at
CD SUNDAY
Thanks for your entries in last weeks, nice to see new bloggers taking part.
For our challenge this week, we, the DT's chose
IF THE SHOE FITS.
We have Jocelyn as our Guest Designer for this month, do take a look at her blog, she does beautiful things and this week so has done us proud.

For my DT card I chose to use the lovely CD from Ooh-la-la-Creations which is all about Shoes in Bloom.

I printed one of the backing papers onto 'snake' like card which I had in my stash.

My beautiful topper has been printed on Vellum and then I added a little bit of parchment work using one of my Parchment Grids of butterflies. (What a surprise for me!!)

This has been attached by Brads to some lilac pearlescent card, my sentiment was computer generated onto the same card and cut round with deckle scissors.

My finishing touch was of course a lilac butterfly.

Bah Humbug GDT

Good morning to you all, Friday again, which means it is time for the latest challenge from the
Bah Humbug ladies and their Guest DT's.

This is my second week as their GDT and the challenge is:
CARD FOR A TEENAGER.
I am of an age where my family has passed their teens, so I had to get my thinking cap on to come up with something suitable.
I hope you like my interpretation

I chose to go with a Digi Stamp as the main focal point. She is 'Winter Sophie' and I think she is cute.

My base 5 x 5 card as covered with a paper I have had so long in my stash I can't remember where it is from, sorry.

I used my circle nestabilitie die for the image and also the corners which I cut into quarters.

This is a double sided christmas paper with presents on one side and shades of green on the reverse.

Sophie has been coloured using Promarkers and a little Glamour Dust for her hat and boots.

I added a Happy Christmas Peel off plus Happy 13th Birthday.

I am sure some of you will have a teenager celebrating their birthday during December.

Good morning to you all, welcome to the latest challenge from
CD SUNDAY

Well the taste of summer didn't last long, decidely cooler where I live today, even rain is forecast. However that won't dampen us crafters as we will be able to stay indoors and craft.

As it is the first Sunday of the month we have two things to share with you, firstly another new Sponsored challenge courtesy of Stitchy Bear Stamps who are giving one lucky person 5 Digi Stamps of their choosing from the shop and secondly a new Guest Designer - Jocelyn who will be with us for the month of June.

Our theme this week is 'DIGI DAY' and we the DT's were given images to use in our designs

My card is a 5 x 5 square onto which I printed direct a lovely backing paper from

Peerless Designs - Gingham & Lace CD Vol 2

My Digi image is 'Busy Bertha' which I printed out using my Free Craft Artist Program.

It has then been cut using a Lacey Circles Nestability Die and coloured using Promarkers.

I chalked the edge of the die which I hope you can see.

Challenge 22 - Surprise Surprise Bah Humbug GDT

Good morning to my blogging friends and I am so excited as I have been selected to be Bah! Humbug's Guest Designer for the month of June. How wonderful is that.

Ann & Max have chosen a super challenge for you all this week, which is
'SURPRISE'

We want you to create a project with a hidden surprise and for my Debut DT design I chose to make an Advent Calendar which you can see below.

I have used the Christmas CD from Thomas Kincade triple CD, courtesy of Joanna Sheen

I printed the design onto an A4 White Pearlescent Card and very carefully cut out the 24 individual windows with my Craft Knife, not as easy as you think.

This is backed onto a 'hidden' second sheet and when the windows are opened they reveal a scene for each day leading up to Christmas Day.

I hope you will continue to support the lovely ladies over at Humbug Hall, I don't know how they come up with different challenges each week.
By the beginning of December you should have lots of cards ready to post and it is all down to this fabulous blog.

I have just got this fabulous CD from my friend Debs and if you click on the CD link it will take you to her online shop.
I cut another of the beautiful backing papers with my Grand Nesties Scalloped Circles and then used one of the toppers from the same CD.
A little Glamour Dust has been added to the centre flower for a bit of sparkle.
Burgundy Organaza Ribbon has been attached down the side and for my bow I used my latest present, a Bowmaker from my Sister. I am always complaining that I can't tie bows, so now my problem is solved.
A few Gems finish the card.

Good morning to you all, what a week we have had with Mr Blogger, unfortunately we were not able to leave you comments last week but thankyou for you stunning entries.
I am late posting as my laptop decided it didn't want to play and I ended up having to reload everything from scratch.

I created my card base using the FREE version of Craft Artist, I hope you can see the lovely palm tree.
My scene is from Crafty Ann which I imported into Craft Artist and changed the colour, it has then been cut with a Nestie Label Die.
My lovers are from Dancing with Shadows CD - Joanna Sheen
This is also cut with a smaller Label Die.
As a finishing touch, I added the words from the song.

Bearly Mine are having a new DT Call so I have decided to try for a position by re-publishing a card I made for CD Sunday a few weeks ago.

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well, more to the point, hope Mr Blogger is to.
I am hoping that my scheduled post will work after all the trouble he has caused this week.

Main backing paper using Starburst Stains and crumpled whilst wet
Selection of Digi Images courtesy of Chi Chi Memories which have been printed directly onto white card using a free version of Craft Artist, (a first for me)
Images coloured using Promarkers and I added Stickles to the bubbles for effect.
My strip along the base is stippled Wallpaper again coloured with Starburst Stains to which I added the 'Love you deeply' sentiment from Chi Chi.
I had fun making this and very pleased with the finished result.

I chose backing papers and and a lovely image from Eastern Treasures CD courtesy of Joanna Sheen

The backing papers have been printed onto Pearl Card and printed on both sides to give a contrast.
I cut part at an angle and then layered the cut away panel to the bottom left hand corner.
My lovely topper is printed onto Glossy Photo Paper.
The Happy Birthday stamps are from the Kay Carley Collection - Aspect of Design 51 - Japenese Minis and are available from The Stampman

I have a love for delicate colours and this reflects in my card design.

I printed direct onto Pearlised White Card a beautiful backing paper of Butterflies from

Hinny Bop

This particular CD is called - Blissful Butterflies, a beautiful CD, full of gorgeous papers, images, and templates. A must for your CD library.

Many of you may know I have a love for Butterflies and Lilac, so it is no surprise to see what I chose for this weeks challenge.

I chose a Beaded Oval Nestability Die as a background to the main butterfly. Cut out using Papermania Shimmer Textured Cardstock - Moulin Rouge.

A Marianne Butterfly Die has been cut using Vellum from my stash. Holographic Gems make up the body.

Two butterflies have been cut using my Cuttlebug and then embossed using Divine Swirls & Swiss Dots embossing folders. Again I added a few Gems for a little bling.

I hope you will continue to join in with us, our only rule is that you must use something from a CD and say which it is you have used. It can be just a small piece of backing paper to qualify.

I took a plain Cream 5 x 5 card and added a lovely Lacey Square Die Cut in Copper.

The Oval Nestie has been cut using paper from Artylicious, my Digi Image has been coloured using various Promarkers.

I carefully cut out the inside of the basket to reveal more of the die cut.

A Pearl and a couple of Gems are attached to the centre of the flowers and gold peel offs add decoration to the basket.

I decided to make this an Easter Card (one more for my box) so added the Happy Easter and a couple of Eggs to complete the card.

I chose to go with a beautiful song from the Patience Strong CD1 from Joanna Sheen

It has been printed onto Pearlescent Card and then layered onto Purple Card from my stash.

The main card is also Pearlescent and I used my 'Hougie Board' to score a few lines both down and across for dimension.

Punched flowers complete with Brads and a few Gems add the finishing touch

I have used a fabulous Die Cut Square from K & Co to make the base of my card, which I matted onto a backing paper sprayed with various colours of Cosmic Shimmers. Must confess this paper was made quite a while ago and stored carefully away, so carefully, I forgot I had made it.

My Wine Bottle is a template, cut out using paper from HOTP Sarabooks - Amethyst Collection, again found whilst searching through all my craft papers.

The tag comes from the same book and I attached a Lilac Butterfly Brad to secure it to the card.

The lovely embellishments are from K & Co Grande Adhesions - Lilac range, I have had these for such a long time so thought it was time to give them an airing.

You are in for a treat this week as not only do have have a new Sponsor for this week but also another lovely Guest DT joining us for the month of April.

Now onto my DT Card which you can see below:

I chose this lovely ballerina from one of the sets Linnie kindly gave us. She has been coloured using Promarkers and a little glitter has been added to her skirt.

I cut her out using Nestability Die No 10 and mounted her onto a larger contrasting die.

The main card is lovely Blue Pearlescent from my stash. I then used a beautiful backing paper from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams CD - the flowers section. My fancy edge was created using a Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch - Vine and I left a small border to enhance the colour of the card.

My fabulous roses are a recent purchase from the NEC, the link is HERE.

Such a good price, 20 roses for £2.99 and so many to choose from I had to limit myself as to what colours to get.

I chose a lovely image and backing paper from Joanna Sheen's ATC Assistant CD.

I have called her the 'Flower Lady'

She is a delicate image and the backing papers are beautiful.

My card is a 5 x 5 Square blank and I used one of my Martha Stewart Punches

to make a lacey edge.

Punched flowers have been attached down the side and Gems added to the centres.

I struggled with this theme despite having lots of CD's and stamps,

however I am pleased with the end result.

Today we are celebrating not only St Patrick's Day but your host - Cynthia's Birthday.

Of course the chosen theme over at Rainbow Lady this week is

ST PATRICK'S DAY

Here is my DT Card

I must confess that St Patrick's Day is not something I usually take part in, however as a DT I turned to Vintage Holiday Crafts for inspiration.

This is a fab site with lots of Free Downloads, you will find something to suit every occasion.

This lovely Irish Lady with a basket full of Shamrocks is just one of the many images available.

My card base is 5 x 5 Square to which I added a lovely backing paper of shamrocks, again Free from the above link.

I had a small piece of embossed photo card already inked with Meadow & Hazelnut Alcohol Inks which I thought would complement the image.

I used my Nestability Labels 1 to cut out the sentiment and carefully cut out a Shamrock for the top of my card.

I am not normally a 'Green' person but I am quite pleased with how it all came together.

I distressed the edges of the card using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

I chose BLUE for my backing paper

My die has been cut using some beautiful YELLOW paper from a card pack I bought at the NEC last year, it has several different colours and an assortment of textures including some delicate vellums.

The swirls were cut using BROWN Core-dinations card.

Fabric flowers is matching tones and a Birthday Wishes sentiment complete my card.

This is a first for me, 2 challenge cards in 1 day.
I am trying to enter a few more of my blogging friends challenges and this one is for

Silkies in shades of Pink Lace, Blue Brocade & Sunset Satin

I put a few drops of the silkies onto my craft mat, spritzed with water then swooshed a piece of Glossy Card over the mat to pick up the colour.
Once this had dried I used the Fleur De Lis Die to cut out the shape.
The centres are from the Lotus Die to which I have added a fabric rose.
Pink gems and a few punched flowers complete my card.

Bah Humbug Challenge 10

Good afternoon to you all,
Over at Bah Humbug this week, the ladies have chosen 'APERTURES' for this weeks challenge.

This set me thinking as I wanted to try making an aperture from my Nestability Dies.
So here is my card

I used Silver Pearlescent Card 5 x5 and used the larger of my Nestie Scalloped Circle Die to cut the aperture.

I had already had this Sarah Kay image stamped onto Hammered Card so all I had to do was colour her using Promarkers. I bought this stamp in 2009 when I shopped whilst on holiday, at The Craft Barn and this is her first outing.

I added a little sparkle for her fur trim using Glamour Dust

I inked the edge of the die cut using Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.

Another card to my growing pile and it's all down to my friends at Bah Humbug

Here is my DT card

This super image has been printed onto pearlescent card which I had cut using a Nestie Die.
The edges of the die have been distressed using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink
I coloured using my Promarkers, thanks to Chi Chi I am beginning to feel more comfortable using these.
My backing paper is from Pink Petticoat - Vintage Rose Collection, this beautiful pad came free with one of the magazines I subscribe to.
To complete the card I punched our several sizes of flowers and added pink gems to the centres.

3 Quick and easy cards from me this afternoon as I wanted to join in with the 'Bah Humbug' ladies challenge this week, which is
EMBOSSING

I always seem to be last minute so as I had my Cuttlebug on my desk I decided to try
'Stencil Embossing'

2 of the stencils are on loan from my Sister, the larger Christmas Tree stencil came in a freebie pack with Docrafts Creativity Magazine.

All have been sanded with my new Tim Holtz sanding block.

I printed her onto Glossy Photo Paper then cut her out using a Nestability Die
Sentiment is from - Vintage Holiday Crafts - link is on my side bar, another great site for FREE Clipart. Again printed onto Glossy Photo Paper, then attached to a matt which I had put through my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
3 Fabric Daffodils and a Bow complete my card.

Challenge #142 - Masked Ball

Good morning to you all, Thursday is upon us once again which means time for the latest challenge from

For my DT card I chose backing papers and this lovely image from

Debbi Moore's Venetian Masquarade CD/

I printed the backing paper onto a Deckle Edged Pearlised Card.

The lovely lady has been printed onto Glossy Photo Paper and I added a touch of glitter to her dress for some sparkle.

My sentiment and ribbon border are from the same topper sheet.

I added some beautiful blue Ric Rac Ribbon, placed at an angle and finished it off with tiny Gems.

Less is More - 3 Squares

Over at Less is More challenge blog this week the theme is:

3 Squares

I have been wanting to join in since they first started some 3 weeks ago and this week I have made it.

Most of my followers will know that I have a love for Butterflies so when this months copy of Craft Stamper came yesterday and had this lovely FREE stamp on it's cover, I knew this was the stamp to use.

The stamp is by Glenda Waterworth who I am sure you will have heard of, Glenda's new company Chocolate Baroque is scheduled to give 'live' very soon.

My squares were cut using a Nestie - Lacey Square Die.

I stamped the butterflies using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink

My Happy Birthday sentiment has been stamped using Brilliance Moonlight White.

This is a first for me and I hope the ladies over at Less is More are happy with my interpretation.

Bah Humbug Challenge

Over at Bah Humbug this week, the humbuggers Ann & Max have chosen

'Things that Fly' as their challenge this week.

My base card is one I got when I visited the Sincerely Yours Show, it is packet containing several different colours and a different size for me. Sorry but I can't remember the name of the stall.

I chose to matt and layer before adding my image which is from Joanna Sheen CD - Giordano Christmas Creations.

The base matt was done using Alcohol Inks, Mountain Rose, Hazelnut & Caramel which I ran through my Bug using Swiss Dots embossing folder.

The second matt is a smaller version of the base card and again I ran it through my bug using the same embossing folder.

My topper has been printed onto Pearlescent White Card.

A Seasons Greeting Peel Off completes the card.

Challenge #6 - Bah Humbug

Over at Bah Humbug this week, the 'humbuggers' - Ann & Max, have set a fab challenge to use a 'Doilie' in your creation.
As I had recently aqquired some whilst at 'Sincerley Yours' Craft Show last month I thought it would be a super challenge to take part in.

I cut out a Lacey Circle Die using my Cuttlebug in some beautiful red card I have had for ages.
My Stamp is from a Freebie Set by Adam Prescott, courtesy of Card Making & Papercraft Magazine.
My punched two tiny christmas trees and backed the card in green.
Gems & Ribbon are from my stash.
So easy to do and it is another one for my 2011 christmas box.

Good morning and welcome to the latest challenge from Rainbow Lady

Our challenge this week is -

ALL ABOUT LOVE

and is sponsored by Chi Chi Memories

Our design team have been given some beautiful images to work with along with lovely sentiments.

I chose this beautiful heart which I manipulated in a graphics program and changed the colour from black to a lovely shade of red. This was printed onto Vellum paper before embossing parts from the back to make the heart stand out.

My lace effect border has been done using a parchment template. I thought it was time I gave this wonderful craft an airing, so you may see more in other challenges.

Both of the lovely sentiments are from Chi Chi and fit this challenge perfectly.

I added a butterfly embellishment from my stash.

Base card and image from one of Deb's CD's

The image from the Decoupage Section has been printed onto Vellum.

Extra sections have been added using a 2 Needle Tool to make delicate perforations.

I used brads to attach the Vellum to the card.

The paper pleats were made using my new Hougie Board and one of the backing papers from Debs

A fabric flower, dragonfly brad and gems finish off my design.

Challenge 3 - Christmas Crackers

The challenge this week over at

Bah! Humbug

is called - Christmas Crackers

Quite a few people have struggled with this one including me, I haven't any stamps so I decided to visit my good friend - Crafty Ann - who has lots of fabulous Digi Stamps, including a Christmas Cracker.

I coloured the cracker using Copic's and added Glamour Dust for a little sparkle.

I cut the cracker out using Nestability Die Set No 10, added more sparkle on the embossed part before cutting a larger die from Holographic Card to mount it on.

The mottled dark green card is from my stock. A Merry Christmas Peel Off complete the card.

I hope the team at Bah Humbug like my interpretation on their theme.

My choice of CD this week is from Debs
called Waterside Watercolours - Winters Sleep
All the artwork on this CD is done by Debs Mum - Tina.

I printed one of the backing papers onto Pearlescent Card to make my base card.
The large Nestability Die is number 10 to which I added a Marianne Creatables Die, these are both new to me and I love them. They are so versatile so you will be seeing them again on future cards.
2 Swirls, again from Marianne Creatables range give a finishing touch.
The images have been printed onto Glossy Photo Paper.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge - #136 - Highland Fling

Good morning to you all and welcome to our latest challenge over at
Rainbow Lady
Cynthia chose Highland Fling for her theme to celebrate Burns Night on 25th January.

Do pop over to Cynthia's Blog to see what the rest of her Design Team Gems have made.

This challenge had me baffled so I decided to look up Burns Night on Google.
As I didn't have any images suitable I went for :
The Selkirk Grace & Bill of Fare as these are an important part of a Burns Supper Night.
I used my Nestability Dies to cut and emboss round the sayings and distressed the edges using Chipped Sapphire Ink.
The plaid paper is from my stash. A ribbon has been wrapped across the card and the sentiment - Auld Lang Syne added.
Matching flowers from my stash finished off my card.
