Forum Card Swap

Over on the Rainbow's Forum we have a monthly CARD SWAP and the card above

is the card I made for my 'Swap' partner, Doreen.

I know it is safe to post it on here as she has told me that it has been received.

I have just started to collect 'Sweet Pea' stamps and this lovely stamp is called

BLACK BUTTERFLY

It is the first time of using these stamps and I admit to being a little nervous where colouring is involved. I used Promarkers in various colours before matting her onto a lovely backing paper from Craftwork Cards. I have had this pad for some time and only came across it when I was tidying my craft room.

I added glitter onto her dress and wings for a little bling.

I have several more to play with and I guess practice makes perfect where my colouring is concerned.

CRAFTY ANN'S CHALLENGE NO 19

Here is my card design for challenge number 19 over at CRAFTY ANN'S CHALLENGE BLOG

Ann's theme for this challenge was a
CLIFF RICHARD SONG - IN THE COUNTRY
I am a huge Cliff fan so of course I just had to take part.

I started with an Easel Card blank base and added two backing papers from DAYZE OF INNOCENCE CD from Deb
This particular CD has images by Pamela West, taken from her original CD with permission from Pamela herself.
I printed a matching topper for the card and added the sentiment
'IN THE COUNTRY' typed from my computer and layered onto Blue Pearlised Card.

Do take a look at Ann's challenge blog as her design team have lovely cards to show.
I hope that Ann likes my card and it is my 2nd Easel Card, thanks Ann for the encouragement

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE - MEOW!!

My, how the weeks are flying by. Today is Sunday which means a new challenge from CD SUNDAY
Our challenge this week is:

MEOW!

Our Design Team have lovely cards to show you and we hope you will join in with us. The only rule we have is that your card must have something from a CD, maybe a small piece of paper or an image. We ask that you say which CD you have used as it maybe a new one to us.

RECIPE FOR MY CARD:

The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection CD from Joanna Sheen
Ink Dusters from Inkylicious
Adirondack Inks from Clarity Stamps
5 x 5 Card Pearlised Card Blank from my stock.
Glossy Photo Paper
Brad
Peel Offs

I started with three colours of Inks, Oregano, Butterscoth & Caramel and using my Ink Dusters applied the colours onto my base card.
I printed a topper from The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection - CD2 onto Glossy Photo Paper and layered it on top of a matching backing paper.
From the tags & sentiment section I printed a tag and two sentiments. These were coloured using the same inks.
My tag has been attached with a Brad and to the blank sentiment at the bottom of my card I added Gold Peel-offs

I am pleased with the way the Inks worked both on the base card and on the sentiments and tag.

We hope you will join in with us this week and look forward to seeing and commenting on your designs.
