SHAPED EASEL CARD

Today is the last day to join in with Crafty Ann's Challenge and I have made it just in time.

Ann's challenge for the last two weeks was to do a 'Shaped Easel Card'. This is the first time I have made one and the Octagonal template is a FREEBIE over on Ann's blog.

I changed my mind so many times before finally deciding on this one.

Top backing paper is from a Joanna Sheen CD, Oriental Dreams I think, the base paper is from Ann's Digi Shop.

For my topper I used one of my oriental stamps which had been stamped onto card which I had distressed. I have used my new Martha Stewart Corner Punch on the mat and then placed the topper on top.
I have distressed the edges of the card with Butterscotch Adirondack Ink, it shows a bit too dark but it has been a learning curve and I will go carefully next time.
For my stopper I added a ribbon border from my stash and a chinese coin completes the card.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE 12

Good morning to my blogging friends.
It is Sunday which means another challenge from
CD SUNDAY

The theme for this week is KIND THOUGHTS
We have some lovely cards from our Design Team, so do pop over and take a look

For my card I chose to use 'IN OTHER WORDS' CD from Joanna Sheen.

RECIPE

Pearlescent Gold Card on which my backing paper has been printed, I do think this sort of card gives a beautiful effect.
For the topper I used Glossy Photo Paper and chose a beautiful sentiment to complement my card. This has been layered onto card from my stash which has a lovely pattern and again is pearlescent.

My Kind Thoughts topper was done using my computer, punched flowers in matching paper and a beautiful Tassle adds the finishing touch.

Your card or project must contain something from a CD, maybe a piece of backing paper, topper or embellishment

I hope you will join us this week and we look forward to seeing your designs
