Penny Black Challenge - Recipe 3,2,1

Here is my card I made for the Penny Black Challenge this week.
The challenge was to follow a 'Recipe' using 3 Brads, 2 Ribbons, 1 Flower plus a Penny Black Image.
I stamped with Versafine then coloured the image with Lyra Crayons. 3 Brads were added to the large Flowerpot, this was layered onto a card which I had put through my Cuttlebug Machine using Swiss Dots Embossing Folder then attached to another strip of card, again using my Cuttlebug. The whole image I then mounted onto my card base which I had covered using Papermania Creative Tones - Equisite Paper. A large Pink Bow was attched to the top of the card with a smaller bow at the bottom of the image. As the final ingredient, a fabric flower has been attached to the bottom of my card. I decided to add peel-offs at the side of the image as I thought the hedgehogs were playing Hide & Seek.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

My special friend Lorraine sent me this lovely stamped image of Willow so I decided to take part in the Whiff of Joy Challenge which this week was called 'Lavender & Lace'. I coloured Willow using Watercolour Crayons then matted her onto lavender card using my Victorian Blade to give a delicate edge. My base layer is A6 in size which I covered with a sheet of paper from my Papermania Creative Tones - Amethyst pack. I took a piece of Lace from my stash to put down the left hand side before mounting Willow onto the lace and the card. 3 Tiny gems have been added along with a Lavender fabric flower and a small lilac flower brad and gem to the bottom of the card. I am thrilled with the end result, especially as Lavender is my favourite colour.

More Stamping

Another of my favourite PSX Stamps, A Bunch of Sweet Peas' . The image was stamped with Versafine Onyx, I love this ink pad, then coloured using my Watercolour Pencils. I added a deckle edge border prior to mounting on Lilac card which had been through my Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. In turn this was attached to my card blank which I had covered in paper from Raspberry Road Designs. I think it has something missing to give a finishing touch, however, all the flowers I have are too large, so I decided to leave it as it was. Your comments are appreciated.

Get Stamping Year

As this is the year to 'get stamping again' I sorted through all of my stamps and came across this stamp from PSX entitled 'Morning Glory'
I stamped onto a cream background using Versafine Onyx then coloured the image using a mixture of Permapaque & Lrya Crayons. I didn't think the cream background went well, so I distressed the edges first using Adirondack Denim then decided to carefully add more distressing over the entire card. I added a little sparkle using my Quickie Glue Pen and fine glitter. I don't think this will show up as I scanned my card instead of taking a photo.
The image was mounted onto Silver Mirri before attaching to a 5" x 5" card blank which I had covered with free downloaded paper, courtesy of Jak
